4 7 BLAZING WIND (J157) Held up for clear running from the 400 Metres until passing the 200 Metres. Over the concluding stages was unable to be ridden out to the winning post when disappointed for clear running between VICTORY SKY and AURORA PATCH.
5 2 CAPITAL DELIGHT (H262) Slowly away.
6 11 E HO HO (L119) No report.
7 10 YOUNG ARROW (J401) Raced wide and without cover for the majority of the event. M L Yeung pleaded guilty of a breach of Rule 100(2) in that he failed to ride YOUNG ARROW, 7th placegetter, out to the end of the race to the satisfaction of the Stewards. For this breach of the Rule, M L Yeung was fined the sum of $5,000.
8 6 MR ENERGIA (J239) Slow to begin. J Orman could offer no explanation for his mount failing to respond to his riding in the Home Straight. A veterinary inspection immediately following the race did not show any significant findings.
9 3 SUPERB CAPITALIST (H092) No report.
10 8 MUST GO (J133) The performance of MUST GO was considered unacceptable. Before being allowed to race again, MUST GO will be required to perform to the satisfaction of the Stewards in a barrier trial and be subjected to an official veterinary examination. A veterinary inspection immediately following the race did not show any significant findings.
WV-A 9 GIANT SPIRIT (L169) Reared up in the barriers, got its left front leg caught over the front of the barrier for a short period of time and was withdrawn by order of the Stewards acting on veterinary advice. Before being allowed to race again, GIANT SPIRIT will be required to perform satisfactorily in a barrier trial and be subjected to an official veterinary examination.
