1 14 THE CONCENTRATION (H465) After being crossed by SUPER PACE near the 1000 Metres raced keenly for some distance thereafter. Raced wide and without cover for the majority of the event. Sent for sampling post-race.
2 7 GALE SAGA (J152) Sent for sampling post-race.
3 2 STERLING WONGCHOY (H273) Shifted out at the start and was bumped.
4 5 REWARDING TWINKLE (J368) Raced keenly in the middle stages. Between the 450 Metres and the 300 Metres was held up for clear running behind SMART ENGINEER. When SMART ENGINEER shifted out near the 300 Metres, REWARDING TWINKLE shifted to that runner’s inside to obtain clear running.
5 1 RATTAN GALAXY (K143) Sent for sampling post-race.
6 3 TELECOM POWER (J332) Bumped at the start. Held up for clear running between the 400 Metres and the 150 Metres.
7 6 WISEMAN (K211) Jumped awkwardly and lost ground.
8 12 SOMETHING JONAH (K024) Near the 1000 Metres raced tight between REWARDING TWINKLE and SUPER PACE.
9 8 GOOD PROSPECT (J406) L Ferraris stated that the instructions were to hold a midfield position. He said the horse jumped only fairly and did not travel well throughout the early stages and as a consequence GOOD PROSPECT settled back in the field. He added in the Home Straight GOOD PROSPECT finished the race off only fairly and it was noted to have its tongue over the bit after the race. A veterinary inspection immediately following the race did not show any significant findings.
10 13 CASA LEGEND (G126) Jumped only fairly.
11 9 VON BAER (K198) A veterinary inspection immediately following the race found that horse to have bled from both nostrils. Before being allowed to race again, VON BAER will be required to perform satisfactorily in a barrier trial and be subjected to an official veterinary examination.
12 11 SMART ENGINEER (K244) R Kingscote stated that he was given the option of taking up a more forward position from a wide barrier as the horse had not been performing well when ridden back in the field. He said when SMART ENGINEER jumped well he elected to go forward on the horse in accordance with his instructions. Trainer K W Lui confirmed the instructions issued.
13 10 SUPER PACE (K349) Bumped at the start.
14 4 ONE AND ONLY (K273) A veterinary inspection immediately following the race did not show any significant findings.
