Racing Incident Report

1 13 GOOD FORTUNE (H349) Near the 500 Mettes shifted out and made contact with GROOVY FEELING. When questioned regarding the improved performance Trainer P C Ng stated that the horse was disadvantaged at its most recent starts by settling back in the field and also being caught wide at its last start. He said today GOOD FORTUNE was advantaged by holding a more forward position and had pleased him in its most recent barrier trial on 31 August 2026 leading into today’s race. Sent for sampling post-race.
2 7 SO MY FOLKS (K456) Sent for sampling post-race.
3 2 FOREVER FANCY (K354) Between the 400 Metres and the 300 Metres was held up for clear running.
4 10 RUNJEET (K276) L Ferraris reported that his mount lay out under pressure in the Home Straight.
5 11 YEE CHEONG RAIDER (J176) Shortly after the start shifted out and made contact with GIMME FIVE. A Badel stated that the intention was to be more forward but his mount failed to show sufficient pace in the early stages to do so.
6 4 SUNNY Q (J223) Approaching the 900 Metres, when racing keenly, was steadied when crowded between EMERGING STAR which shifted out slightly and RISING ELITE (K Teetan) which shifted in before being corrected by its rider. K Teetan was advised to exercise more care. When questioned Z Purton stated that after being steadied near the 900 Metres his mount then commenced to race keenly and refused to settle. He said after being crowded SUNNY Q settled further back in the field than what he had intended and he was satisfied with the horse’s finishing effort in the Home Straight. A veterinary inspection immediately following the race which included an endoscopic examination showed a substantial amount of blood in the horse’s trachea. Before being allowed to race again, SUNNY Q will be subjected to an official veterinary examination. Sent for sampling post-race.
7 3 POWER PATCH (L100) Jumped only fairly. Raced very wide and without cover for the majority of the event.
8 8 GROOVY FEELING (J515) Near the 500 Metres made contact with GOOD FORTUNE when endeavouring to hold its position to the outside of GOOD FORTUNE.
9 1 BEAUTY GEMINI (L129) After being crossed by RUNJEET near the 900 Metres commenced to race keenly and was steadied to avoid RUNJEET for some distance thereafter. Near the 200 Metres rider Y L Chung dropped his whip. Passing the 200 Metres was steadied when crowded between POWER PATCH and SO MY FOLKS (H Bowman) which shifted to the outside of RUNJEET as RUNJEET shifted out. H Bowman was advised to exercise more care. Raced wide and without cover for the majority of the event.
10 12 GIMME FIVE (J099) Jumped only fairly. Shortly after the start was steadied when crowded between GOOD FORTUNE and YEE CHEONG RAIDER which shifted out. In the middle stages raced keenly. Over the concluding stages could not be ridden out when held up behind POWER PATCH. K C Leung reported that his intention was to be more forward but after being crowded shortly after the start GIMME FIVE settled further back than intended.
11 6 VERBIER (J187) E C W Wong stated that he was obliged to make use of the horse in the early stages to lead the event. He said as a consequence in the Home Straight VERBIER failed to finish the race off. A veterinary inspection immediately following the race did not show any significant findings.
12 5 RISING ELITE (K544) Near the 800 Metres was hampered when bumped by EMERGING STAR which shifted out. Near the 500 Metres was hampered when bumped by EMERGING STAR which shifted out to improve. A veterinary inspection immediately following the race did not show any significant findings.
13 14 SPARKLE AND GOLD (K259) Jumped only fairly.
14 9 EMERGING STAR (K390) In the middle stages raced keenly. Near the 800 Metres shifted out when being steadied to avoid GROOVY FEELING and made contact with RISING ELITE. Near the 500 Metres shifted out and made contact with RISING ELITE.
