Racing Incident Report

FULL PACK and COVER BOY bumped at the start. A short distance later, FULL PACK and COVER BOY were crowded for room inside DECAGONAL which shifted in after being bumped by WAIT FOR ME. From the outside barrier, FRAMES DEPOT was taken across behind runners shortly after the start. Passing the 1500 Metres, FOREST FOUNTAIN got its head on the side and hung in across the heels of STAR OF CHIU TON. Approaching the winning post on the first occasion, POLYGOLD shifted out when being checked away from the heels of SONOFTHEWEST which at this time was being steadied to allow HUA SHI to cross. Then near the 1300 Metres, POLYGOLD was bumped by SONOFTHEWEST which shifted out momentarily. After this, POLYGOLD was left racing three wide and without cover for the remainder of the race. When being steadied passing the 1200 Metres, PROSPERITY KID got its head up when awkwardly placed close to the heels of HUA SHI. STAR OF CHIU TON and FOREST FOUNTAIN, which were following, were hampered in consequence. When caught wide and without cover passing the 1200 Metres, SUPREME GOLD was allowed to stride forward to race outside the leader, HUA SHI. Passing the 300 Metres, HUA SHI, which was giving ground, was steadied when momentarily crowded for room inside PROSPERITY KID which itself raced tight inside DECAGONAL. FOREST FOUNTAIN, which was following, was steadied in consequence. After this, FOREST FOUNTAIN, which hung in, was not able to obtain clear running and because of this was not fully tested in the Straight. M Chadwick (STAR OF CHIU TON) pleaded guilty to a charge of careless riding [Rule 100(1)] in that approaching the 100 Metres he directed his mount out when not clear of SONOFTHEWEST, causing that horse to be checked and lose the running to which it was rightfully entitled. M Chadwick was suspended from riding in races for a period to expire on Monday, 15 November 2010 on which day he may resume race riding (2 Hong Kong racedays). The commencement of the suspension was deferred until after the Sha Tin racemeeting on Saturday, 6 November 2010. STAR OF CHIU TON and WAIT FOR ME were sent for sampling.
