Racing Incident Report
The Stewards deferred the declaration of weighed-in whilst they considered if FORTUNE TOGETHER had been afforded a fair start. After the race, Y T Cheng reported that just prior to the start being effected, FORTUNE TOGETHER got its head down and consequently lost a considerable amount of ground. After viewing the videos, the Stewards confirmed the advice of Y T Cheng as they formed the opinion that FORTUNE TOGETHER had been afforded a fair start and consequently that horse was deemed to be a runner. Before being allowed to race again, FORTUNE TOGETHER will be required to perform satisfactorily in an official barrier trial. MINGS’ HERO was checked at the start when crowded for room between NOBLE VISION which shifted in slightly and POTENTIAL which began awkwardly and shifted out. After this, MINGS’ HERO was taken across behind runners. SUNNY SKY and SEASONS CREST were slow to begin. Approaching and passing the 1000 Metres, MOCHI proved very difficult to settle when being checked away from the heels of JOYFUL JOYFUL. Near the 850 Metres, MUSTANG momentarily raced in restricted room inside POTENTIAL which shifted in. After the 800 Metres, JOYFUL JOYFUL got its head on the side when racing close to the heels of JOHN DORY. Passing the 250 Metres, WEI HAI INVINCIBLE, which was commencing to give ground, got its head on the side and shifted out when awkwardly placed close to the heels of JOHN DORY. For the majority of the race, POTENTIAL travelled wide and without cover. A veterinary inspection of FORTUNE TOGETHER after the race did not show any significant findings. MOCHI and JOHN DORY were sent for sampling.
