Racing Incident Report

OCTOCONNECT began only fairly and then shortly after the start lost ground after shifting in towards the heels of LESLIE.
STOICISM shifted out at the start and hampered HARDLY SWEARS.
BIRDSVILLE shifted out at the start and bumped ISLAND SURPRISE. BIRDSVILLE was then crowded for room between ISLAND SURPRISE and GLORIFIED FIRE which shifted out. After this, BIRDSVILLE was shifted across behind runners from a wide barrier.
Also from the outside barrier, OVERSUBSCRIBED was steadied and shifted across behind runners to obtain a position closer to the rail in the early stages.
Approaching the 1100 Metres, HAPPY LAND was momentarily awkwardly placed outside the heels of LESLIE when being shifted across behind that horse.
Making the turn near the 1050 Metres, OCTOCONNECT, which was having its first race start tonight, raced greenly and became unbalanced when reluctant to maintain its position inside JAZZ STEED.
Making the turn after the 1000 Metres, OVERSUBSCRIBED got its head on the side and lay out and then along the Back Straight travelled keenly and continued to lay out.
BIRDSVILLE made the turn after the 600 Metres awkwardly and shifted out towards the heels of JAZZ STEED. BIRDSVILLE continued to lay out and remained awkwardly placed inside JAZZ STEED and close to the heels of OCTOCONNECT passing the 500 Metres.
Approaching the 100 Metres, SHINING FORTUNE was eased away from the heels of HARDLY SWEARS which was taken in by STOICISM. JAZZ STEED was shifted out away from the heels of SHINING FORTUNE in consequence. HARDLY SWEARS then got its head on the side and lay in under pressure and close to the finishing line was awkwardly placed close to the heels of LESLIE.
A veterinary inspection of SHINING FORTUNE and OVERSUBSCRIBED immediately following the race did not show any significant findings.
STOICISM and LESLIE were sent for sampling.
