4 5 CALIFORNIA DEEPLY (G451) Near the 50 Metres was shifted to the outside of KAHOLO ANGEL to continue into clear running.
5 9 GOLDEN LONG (H462) Approaching the 1000 Metres lay in towards CALIFORNIA DEEPLY and was steadied. When questioned, M Chadwick stated that the intention was to hold an on-pace position if possible. He said GOLDEN LONG jumped awkwardly and as a result lost ground. He said in the early stages he did not feel his mount was showing sufficient pace to hold out GOLDEN TITLE and as a result that runner was able to cross his mount in the early stages, resulting in GOLDEN LONG settling further back than what had been intended.
6 8 HAPPY TRIO (G244) No report.
7 1 WATCH BUDDY (H185) After the race, H Bentley reported that his instructions were to endeavour to hold a more forward position. He said in the early stages WATCH BUDDY did not show sufficient pace to do so and as a result was caught wide and back in the field. He added making the first turn he was hampered when GOOD LUCK WIN shifted out and WATCH BUDDY did not travel well thereafter and failed to finish the race off. A veterinary inspection immediately following the race did not show any significant findings.
8 7 GOOD LUCK WIN (J135) Jumped only fairly. Approaching the 1000 Metres shifted out when being steadied away from GOLDEN LONG.
9 6 GOLDEN TITLE (H100) Lay in in the Home Straight. A veterinary inspection immediately following the race did not show any significant findings.
