Racing Incident Report

Pla. Horse No. Horse Incident
1 4 SUPERB KID (H298) Bumped shortly after the start. Near the 300 Metres was shifted to the outside of TOP GUN to obtain clear running and as a result made contact with SUPER UNICORN, resulting in SUPERB KID becoming slightly unbalanced. Sent for sampling post-race.
2 1 BRILLIANT EXPRESS (J321) Raced wide and without cover for the majority of the event. Sent for sampling post-race.
3 10 GLORIOUS SUCCESS (K062) Shifted in at the start, made heavy contact with TOP GUN and became badly unbalanced.
4 14 THE ABSOLUTE (H438) Bumped shortly after the start. Badly crowded and was checked after the 1100 Metres.
5 13 SUPER UNICORN (H481) Bumped at the start. Shifted in abruptly leaving the 1100 Metres. Bumped near the 250 Metres.
6 7 EIGHTY LIGHT YEARS (H170) No report.
7 2 TOP GUN (J249) Crowded on jumping. In the middle stages raced keenly.
8 12 ALL ROUND WINNER (K382) Bumped at the start.
9 9 RISING FROM ASHES (G209) Passing the 1100 Metres was checked to avoid NUCLEOZOR when that runner lost ground quickly. A veterinary inspection immediately following the race found that horse to be a "roarer” which had previously been reported.
10 5 VIEW OF THE WORLD (J348) After the 1100 Metres shifted in and away from SUPER UNICORN and was corrected by its rider.
11 8 FLYING KNIGHT (K370) Bumped near the 600 Metres. A veterinary inspection immediately following the race did not show any significant findings.
12 11 IGOR STRAVINSKY (K086) Bumped at the start.
13 6 DRAGON JOY (J278) Near the 600 Metres shifted in and made contact with FLYING KNIGHT when racing tight to the inside of BRILLIANT EXPRESS. A veterinary inspection immediately following the race revealed that the horse was displaying an irregular heart rhythm. Before being allowed to race again, DRAGON JOY will be required to perform satisfactorily in a barrier trial and be subjected to an official veterinary examination.
14 3 NUCLEOZOR (K285) On jumping shifted out, made contact with SUPER UNICORN and became unbalanced. Leaving the 1100 Metres SUPER UNICORN shifted in and away abruptly from BRILLIANT EXPRESS and was quickly corrected by its rider M Chadwick. As a result VIEW OF THE WORLD then shifted in and away from SUPER UNICORN as VIEW OF THE VIEW was also being corrected by its rider C L Chau, resulting in THE ABSOLUTE then being badly crowded for room by VIEW OF THE WORLD and having to be checked and THE ABSOLUTE then shifting in, badly crowding NUCLEOZOR which was severely checked when it lost its running. As the Stewards were satisfied that both M Chadwick and C L Chau had made their best endeavours to prevent their mounts from shifting in no action was taken. A veterinary inspection immediately following the race did not show any significant findings.
