Racing Incident Report

GLORY HERO jumped very awkwardly and shifted in. STRATEGIC SELECT missed the start slightly and shortly afterwards was bumped by SPRINTER which shifted out. As a consequence of this, STRATEGIC SELECT shifted ground and made contact with ON THE TEE. On jumping, MANSFIELD STAR got its head on the side and shifted out. As a consequence of this, ACTIVE ACCOUNT was carried onto the heels of SOUTH CHINA NINETY and when being steadied got its head up. Just after the start, BEST EVER was steadied when tight between THE GRAND ROOF and RARE COLLECTION. Over about the last 400 Metres, GOLFING PARTNERS raced greenly, initially shifted out and because of this S Dye changed the whip into his left hand. Then over about the last 100 Metres, GOLFING PARTNERS had a tendency to get in, because of this S Dye changed the whip back to his right hand. When asked about the disappointing performance of THE GRAND ROOF, B Marcus said from the time he mounted the horse today it was well on the toe, on the way to the Start pulled very hard and even after arriving at the gates he had difficulty settling THE GRAND ROOF. He pointed out the horse left the gates well, took up a position beside GOLFING PARTNERS, over-raced and over the concluding stages dropped right out and was very disappointing. THE GRAND ROOF was sent for clinical veterinary examination and testing.
