Racing Incident Report

PILLOW KING was slow to begin. On jumping, THAT'S IT knuckled. After this, THAT'S IT was taken across behind runners and approaching the winning post on the first occasion when proving difficult to settle lost ground when being steadied away from the heels of LA MERVEILLE which itself was steadied to allow SUPER BONUS to cross. With the intention of being ridden quietly, CAN OPENER was steadied on jumping and taken across behind runners. Near the 1300 Metres, NATURAL ECHO became unbalanced when awkwardly placed inside the hindquarters of LA MERVEILLE. In the middle stages and making the Home Turn, LA MERVEILLE hung in and on straightening proved difficult to shift to the outside of FANTASTIC WIN to obtain clear running. Shortly after this, LA MERVEILLE was disappointed for running between FANTASTIC WIN and THAT'S IT which shifted in, resulting in LA MERVEILLE being steadied and shifted out prior to the 200 Metres. Then over the concluding stages, LA MERVEILLE hung in. Over the final 200 Metres, CYPRESS HILL hung in. Also over about the final 200 Metres, G-ONE LEADING was held up and unable to obtain clear running and because of this was not tested. For some distance after the 200 Metres, SUPER DANA had difficulty obtaining clear running and was not properly tested. Throughout the race, FANTASTIC WIN travelled wide and without cover. NATURAL ECHO and G-ONE LEADING were sent for an official veterinary inspection. A veterinary inspection of NATURAL ECHO and G-ONE LEADING after the race did not show any significant findings. CYPRESS HILL, THAT'S IT and CAN OPENER were sent for sampling.
