Racing Incident Report

When entering the track from the parade, S K Sit was dislodged from PREDATOR. The horse was caught at the end of the 1800 Metre chute, examined by the Veterinary Surgeon and on his advice was withdrawn by order of the Stewards. GOOD BROTHER was slowly away. EQUUS ZEPHYRUS left the gates awkwardly and shifted out. Then about the 900 Metres, EQUUS ZEPHYRUS was steadied to avoid the heels of CLASSIC CHOICE which was taken in slightly by NIGHT HUNTER II which in turn was racing close to the heels of FORTUNE MAPLE. For some distance after this, EQUUS ZEPHYRUS was unbalanced when racing tight between PERFECT VISION and TREASURE STAR which was momentarily taken in by WISHES. About the 800 Metres, PERFECT VISION, which was racing tight inside EQUUS ZEPHYRUS, got its head up and shifted out abruptly across the heels of EQUUS ZEPHYRUS. For some distance near the 400 Metres, GOOD BROTHER was awkwardly placed close to the heels of TREASURE STAR and tight inside WISHES. Then after the race, it was noted GOOD BROTHER had lost its right front plate. After the 400 Metres, CLASSIC CHOICE was steadied and shifted out to avoid EASTERN TYCOON. Then after the 200 Metres, CLASSIC CHOICE, which was closing strongly, was shifted in to find running and continued going forward. In the run to the winning post, WISHES hung in. BONANZA and CLASSIC CHOICE were sent for sampling.
