Racing Incident Report

NICKU NICKU began awkwardly, shifted in and bumped NATURAL ECHO. BROWN BEAUTY was a little slow to begin. Shortly after the start, MYSTIC FORCE and BROWN BEAUTY were checked when crowded for room between SUPER DANA and RED BARON which after beginning awkwardly shifted in. In this incident, MYSTIC FORCE struck the heels of SUPER DANA and blundered. After passing the winning post on the first occasion, SPECTACULAR HIT was steadied away from the heels of SUPER DANA. Making the turn at the 600 Metres, SPECTACULAR HIT was steadied away from the heels of MAGIC TEMPLE which commenced to give ground. Shortly after straightening, NICKU NICKU was disappointed for running between RED BARON and RESOURCEFUL PRINCE which shifted out. For some distance approaching and passing the 200 Metres, BROWN BEAUTY was held up and unable to improve between NATURAL ECHO and RESOURCEFUL PRINCE. To obtain clear running, BROWN BEAUTY was steadied and shifted to the outside of RESOURCEFUL PRINCE. Over the concluding stages, RED BARON hung in. S K Sit (MAGIC TEMPLE) said he had been instructed to lead if possible or alternatively if he was unable to cross runners to his inside to maintain a forward position. He said MAGIC TEMPLE did not begin well, immediately commenced to hang in, he allowed it to stride forward and race outside the leaders, however, because of the horse hanging he felt if he continued forward and allowed the horse to shift in, it might cause interference to runners on his inside. He said MAGIC TEMPLE continued to hang in throughout the race, commenced to give ground after the 800 Metres and finished tailed out. MAGIC TEMPLE was sent for a clinical veterinary examination. A veterinary examination of MAGIC TEMPLE after the race did not show any significant findings. The performance of MAGIC TEMPLE was considered unacceptable. Before being permitted to race again, MAGIC TEMPLE will have to perform satisfactorily in an official barrier trial around a bend. RED BARON was sent for a clinical veterinary examination. After the race, RED BARON was examined by the Veterinary Officer who said there were no significant findings. RESOURCEFUL PRINCE and BROWN BEAUTY were sent for sampling.
