Racing Incident Report

HARVEST began awkwardly, shifted out, bumped GOLD STRIKER and as a result lost ground. MASTER ABLE began awkwardly, got its head up and lost ground at the start. After this, MASTER ABLE was hard ridden to make up ground and near the 1000 Metres got its head up when awkwardly placed on the heels of MAGNIFICENT. When MASTER ABLE got its head up, it shifted out and caused inconvenience to QUICK NEWS and TOP HEALTH, both of which were severely hampered and lost ground. In the early stages, FLASH HARRY proved difficult to settle and got its head up when awkwardly placed close to the heels of UNIVERSAL PIONEER. After the 1000 Metres, LUCKY GUYS proved difficult to settle when racing wide and without cover. Near the 600 Metres, HARVEST commenced to over-race, was checked and shifted out to avoid the heels of MAGNIFICENT. As a result of this, inconvenience was caused to MASTER ABLE and GLORY YEARS, both of which were hampered and carried wider. At the 600 Metres, JOY AND TREASURE was steadied when awkwardly placed inside the heels of HARVEST which at this time shifted in after making contact with MASTER ABLE. In the early part of the Home Straight, GLORY YEARS hung in. Near the 400 Metres, MAGNIFICENT was disappointed for running when attempting to improve on the inside of GOLD STRIKER and outside LUCKY GUYS. After this, MAGNIFICENT was shifted back to the inside of LUCKY GUYS to go forward. Near the 350 Metres, QUICK NEWS was steadied when tightened for room between MASTER ABLE and HARVEST which shifted out. After this, QUICK NEWS was shifted wider on the track to obtain clear running. At the 200 Metres, MAGNIFICENT, which was having difficulty obtaining clear running, was steadied and shifted to the inside of LIFELINE RAPIDE. Over the concluding stages, FLASH HARRY was steadied when awkwardly placed outside the heels of MASTER ABLE. Just prior to the line, MAGNIFICENT was again steadied away from the heels of LIFELINE RAPIDE after being carried out by UNIVERSAL PIONEER. Because of this, MAGNIFICENT was not ridden out right to the line. GOLD STRIKER and LIFELINE RAPIDE were sent for sampling. After the race, the Veterinary Officer reported HARVEST had sustained a laceration to the left hind leg and had also lost its left front plate. Before being allowed to race again, HARVEST will be subjected to an official veterinary examination.
