Racing Incident Report
FORTUNE SMILES, which had been fractious in the gates, began awkwardly and lost ground. On jumping, BEST LUCK blundered. NOBLE SILENCE was slow to begin. Also on jumping, DASHING WINNER was bumped by ROYAL ARMY which shifted in. SNIPPEDYDOODA began awkwardly, shifted out and bumped FAMOUS DANCER. Near the 1300 Metres, SNIPPEDYDOODA got its head on the side, hung out and was awkwardly placed inside the heels of KIDDYLAND. Near the 1100 Metres, DASHING WINNER was steadied when close to the heels of SPARKLING STAR. Making the turn at the 600 Metres, SNIPPEDYDOODA hung out. Near the 400 Metres, FAMOUS DANCER was steadied away from the heels of PRINCE GOLF. After the 200 Metres, ROYAL ARMY was checked and shifted out to avoid the heels of FORTUNE SMILES which was giving ground quickly. KIDDYLAND and FORTUNE SMILES were sent for an official veterinary inspection. A veterinary inspection of KIDDYLAND and FORTUNE SMILES after the race did not show any significant findings. CELESTIAL STEEL, FAMOUS DANCER and KING OF FISH were sent for sampling. After the race, the Veterinary Officer reported FAMOUS DANCER had lost its right front plate. The Stewards will afford A Delpech (FORTUNE SMILES) the opportunity to explain the apparent poor performance of the horse at the Sha Tin racemeeting next Sunday 26 December 2004.
