Racing Incident Report

ZABEEL VICTORY was slow to begin. Shortly after the start, BEAMING RIVER was bumped by SUGAR AND SON which was carried in by MURCIELAGO which in turn was carried in by DR HAENSLER which got its head on the side and shifted ground. Approaching the 400 Metres, MURCIELAGO was steadied when close to the heels of DR HAENSLER. At the 250 Metres, SUGAR AND SON was shifted to the outside of JET RISE to obtain clear running. At the same time, WYNDAM PLENTY, which was giving ground, was hampered when bumped by BEAMING RIVER which improved into a narrow run on the outside of SUGAR AND SON. Also at the 250 Metres, CONSTELLATION, which was hanging in, was checked and shifted out to avoid the heels of MAJIN BUU which was giving ground. Over the final 200 Metres, SUGAR AND SON when being ridden out hung in and was reluctant to improve on the outside of JET RISE. At the 100 Metres, BEAMING RIVER was shifted to the outside of DR HAENSLER to continue going forward. Over the concluding stages, FLAG FINDER was steadied away from the heels of DR HAENSLER (M Odendaal) which shifted in slightly. M Odendaal was told to exercise greater care. Because of this, FLAG FINDER was not ridden out to the end of the race. In the Straight, MURCIELAGO hung in. Throughout the race, MAJIN BUU and FLAG FINDER travelled wide and without cover. WYNDAM PLENTY was sent for an official veterinary inspection. A veterinary inspection of WYNDAM PLENTY after the race did not show any significant findings. SUGAR AND SON, DR HAENSLER and JET RISE were sent for sampling.
