Racing Incident Report
After being boxed, SUNRISE RAINBOW became fractious. SUNRISE RAINBOW was removed from its stall and examined by the Veterinary Surgeon who said in his opinion it was suitable to race. Before being allowed to race again, SUNRISE RAINBOW will have to perform satisfactorily in a stalls test. SUNRISE RAINBOW was slow to begin and got its head up. On jumping, ELFHELM was taken across behind runners. Also on jumping, I'M NO SQUARE bumped SAMBUOYANT and then was hampered when crowded for room between that horse and PHOENIX FORTUNE which on jumping shifted out. Approaching the winning post on the first occasion, SAMBUOYANT was bumped and carried wider by I'M NO SQUARE which shifted out after making contact with PHOENIX FORTUNE. Approaching the 1200 Metres, SPINNING CITY got its head up when close to the heels of CAPE PRINCE. Shortly after straightening, SIXTY SECONDS was shifted to the inside of SAMBUOYANT to obtain clear running. In the early part of the Straight, BEST POWER had some difficulty obtaining clear running. After the 200 Metres, PHOENIX FORTUNE hung in. In the run to the winning post, GOLD SANDFIELD was awkwardly placed outside FORTUNE WARRIOR and close to the heels of SPINNING CITY. BEST POWER was sent for an official veterinary inspection. A veterinary inspection of BEST POWER after the race did not show any significant findings. CAPE PRINCE and SPINNING CITY were sent for sampling.
