Racing Incident Report
During the preliminary, O Doleuze was dislodged from SPEED OF LIGHT. SPEED OF LIGHT proceeded to the Start riderless before being recaptured. O Doleuze was examined by the Club's doctor who said in his opinion it was suitable to race. SPEED OF LIGHT was examined by the Veterinary Officer who said in his opinion the horse was suitable to race. After arriving at the Start, DANZIGMOUNTAIN was examined by the Veterinary Officer at the request of Trainer C S Shum. The Veterinary Officer said in his opinion the horse was suitable to race. ZABEEL VICTORY began awkwardly and lost ground. THREE CLUBS, MIRACLE DRAGON and SABRE AND GOLD were slow to begin. Near the 1400 Metres, RISING WIN, which was proving difficult to settle, got its head up and lost ground when steadied while tight between SABRE AND GOLD and SPEED OF LIGHT. Also near the 1400 Metres, RENA'S WUNDERBAR was steadied when crowded for room between JOYFUL UNION and DRAGON INN, both of which shifted ground. STAR OF NORTHERN made the Home Turn awkwardly and shifted wider. On straightening, KA KA SMART was checked when crowded for room between DANZIGMOUNTAIN which commenced to give ground and FRAMES DEPOT which when improving towards the outside of FIGS was carried wider by that horse. No action was taken. Shortly after the 400 Metres, RISING WIN was steadied when disappointed for running between MIRACLE DRAGON and JOYFUL UNION which shifted out. For some distance after this, RISING WIN continued to be held up and unable to obtain clear running. For some distance approaching and passing the 200 Metres, SABRE AND GOLD had difficulty obtaining clear running. At the 50 Metres, SPEED OF LIGHT and MIRACLE DRAGON brushed. For the major part of the Home Straight, THREE CLUBS had difficulty obtaining clear running and because of this was not properly tested. For the major part of the race, DANZIGMOUNTAIN travelled wide and without cover. SABRE AND GOLD, SPEED OF LIGHT and MIRACLE DRAGON were sent for sampling.
