Racing Incident Report
At the start, BEAR MACHO got its head up, shifted in and bumped YANKEE. On jumping, LUCKY FRUIT blundered. Shortly after the start, BEAR MACHO and YANKEE were checked severely when crowded for room between MULLAAD which initially shifted in of its own accord and was then carried in further by DASHING CHAMPION and LUCKY FRUIT which shifted out after being bumped by HARB which itself shifted wider after being bumped by CLASSA SUPREME. In the circumstances, no action was taken. Making the turn at the 1000 Metres, BEAR MACHO was steadied when awkwardly placed inside the heels of LUCKY FRUIT. After the 600 Metres, CLASSA SUPREME was steadied away from the heels of HARB. At the 400 Metres, BEAR MACHO was checked when attempting to improve into a run on the inside of CLASSA SUPREME where there was insufficient room. YANKEE, which was following BEAR MACHO, was hampered in consequence. Shortly after this, CLASSA SUPREME was steadied away from the heels of HARB. Rounding the Home Turn, DASHING CHAMPION was awkwardly placed between OCTABILITY and HARB which shifted out. W M Lai (PROPELLOR) explained as tonight's track was favouring horses racing close to the rail, he was instructed from a wide barrier to take his horse back to a position on the fence. He said in addition he was told on straightening to shift his horse to the outside and ensure he rode it out. He said when ridden in this manner tonight PROPELLOR closed the race off strongly. BEAR MACHO, HARB and GRAND COMMANDS were sent for sampling. After the race, it was reported PROPELLOR had lost its left front plate. The Stewards will speak with G Mossé (YANKEE) regarding his riding out of the horse in the Home Straight at the Sha Tin racemeeting next Sunday 29 April 2007. After the race, it was reported PROPELLOR had lost its left front plate.
