Racing Incident Report

Pla. Horse No. Horse Incident
3 BOTTOMUPTOGETHER (J316) Approaching the 250 Metres was steadied when briefly racing tight to the inside of STELLAR EXPRESS which shifted in before being corrected by its rider B Avdulla. Near the 150 Metres BOTTOMUPTOGETHER made slight contact with STELLAR EXPRESS when it continued to improve into a narrow run to the inside of STELLAR EXPRESS which shifted in and away from CANDLELIGHT DINNER. Sent for sampling post-race.
8 GLOWING PRAISES (L223) On jumping was crowded by STELLAR EXPRESS which shifted in abruptly. As a result GLOWING PRAISES shifted in and made contact with AKASHVANI. Sent for sampling post-race.
2 COLOURFUL KING (K227) Jumped only fairly and shifted out slightly. COLOURFUL KING then made contact with YOUTHFUL SPIRITS and as a result blundered. Sent for sampling post-race.
10 CANDLELIGHT DINNER (J468) Bumped on jumping. Approaching the finish was bumped on the hindquarters by MAGIC CONTROL. As a result CANDLELIGHT DINNER became slightly unbalanced which prevented its rider A Badel from riding his mount out fully to the finish of the race.
4 MAGIC CONTROL (J333) Bumped on jumping. Over the concluding stages raced tight between CANDLELIGHT DINNER and GLOWING PRAISES, both of which shifted ground slightly.
1 STELLAR EXPRESS (J186) Shifted in abruptly on jumping and made contact with GLOWING PRAISES. Near the 150 Metres made contact with BOTTOMUPTOGETHER when it shifted in and away from CANDLELIGHT DINNER.
6 AKASHVANI (K234) Shifted in on jumping and made contact with COLOURFUL KING. Shortly after AKASHVANI became unbalanced when bumped by GLOWING PRAISES which shifted in. H Bentley stated that with his mount dropping back in distance from 1400 Metres to 1000 Metres he was obliged to make use of it throughout the event to hold his position. He said as a result AKASHVANI finished the race off only fairly in the Home Straight. A veterinary inspection immediately following the race did not show any significant findings.
5 BRAVE STAR (G268) Jumped only fairly. M L Yeung stated that, in his opinion, his mount would be better suited by being stepped back up in distance for its next race start. A veterinary inspection immediately following the race did not show any significant findings.
7 SON PAK FU (G265) No report.
9 YOUTHFUL SPIRITS (J082) Jumped only fairly and then was steadied when crowded between COLOURFUL KING and AKASHVANI. M Chadwick stated that the intention was to be more forward but after being crowded at the start his mount raced keenly when settling back in the field. A veterinary inspection immediately following the race found that horse to be a "roarer” which had previously been reported.
