1 7 ACE (K307) Held up for clear running between the 400 Metres and the 300 Metres. Sent for sampling post-race.
2 10 VICTOR SUPREME (K547) C Y Ho was fined the sum of $2,000 for initially presenting himself to be weighed out with the incorrect saddle cloth number. Bumped at the start. Sent for sampling post-race.
3 5 LUCKY YEAR (K443) No report.
4 12 AMAZING DUCK (H392) R Kingscote stated that the instructions were to go forward. He said his mount jumped only fairly and then was crowded between PING HAI COMET and VICTOR SUPREME which shifted out which resulted in AMAZING DUCK settling further back than instructed.
5 4 FLYING BOOM (K327) Jumped only fairly. Between the 350 Metres and the 200 Metres was held up for clear running.
6 6 BLING BLING GENIUS (J397) Bumped at the start.
7 9 RELIABLE DAD (L006) Jumped only fairly. Making the Home Turn was held up for clear running. Over the final 100 Metres was again held up for clear running when positioned close to BLING BLING GENIUS.
8 2 MEGA MASTERMIND (L044) No report.
9 11 GRAND TURBO (L138) Shifted out on jumping. From the outside barrier was shifted across behind runners in the early stages.
10 13 NINJA DERBY (H339) K Teetan stated that his mount raced too keenly when positioned outside the lead and as a result did not run on in the Home Straight. A veterinary inspection immediately following the race which included an endoscopic examination showed a substantial amount of blood in the horse’s trachea. Before being allowed to race again, NINJA DERBY will be subjected to an official veterinary examination.
