A short distance later was steadied to avoid that runner. Rider stated that the instructions were to hold a midfield position, however, when his mount raced keenly in the early stages it held a more forward position than had been intended despite his efforts to restrain the horse to comply with his instructions. Post-race vet inspection did not show any significant findings - Race 341.
