Racing Incident Report

COMMON GOAL was withdrawn on 7.10.11 by order of the Stewards acting on veterinary advice (blood abnormality) and was replaced by Standby Declared Starter HOT PEPPER. Before being allowed to race again, COMMON GOAL will be subjected to an official veterinary examination. When proceeding to the barriers, PAPAS made heavy contact with the outside rail near the 1400 Metres. On arrival at the Start, PAPAS was examined by the Veterinary Officer who said the horse had sustained a cut to the inside of its left hind thigh and, in his opinion, was not suitable to race. Accordingly, PAPAS was withdrawn by order of the Stewards acting on veterinary advice. Before being allowed to race again, PAPAS will be subjected to an official veterinary examination. DIVINITY POWER was slow to begin. SUPER TEAM was crowded for room at the start between SHOWTIME and HOT ASSET which was taken out by B CHOICE which got its head on the side and shifted out on jumping. In the Straight, CELESTIALBLESSINGS had difficulty obtaining clear running and because of this was not able to be properly tested. Throughout the race, B CHOICE travelled wide and without cover and approaching the 600 Metres was taken wider still by DIAMOND RAINBOW which shifted out when awkwardly placed close to the heels of HOT ASSET. B CHOICE and SUPREME GENKI were sent for sampling.
