Racing Incident Report

On entering the track, M F Poon momentarily dismounted from HAVE FUN TOGETHER which proved reluctant to proceed to the barriers.
THIS ONE’S FOR YOU was slow to begin.
JOYFUL CONTENDER stumbled at the start.
DR PROACTIVE shifted out at the start and bumped HAVE FUN TOGETHER.
When being steadied from a wide barrier to obtain cover, MASSIVE MILLENNIUM got its head up on a number of occasions shortly after the start.
From wide barriers, BELLA BABY and GENEROUS HEART were steadied in the early stages to obtain cover.
Approaching the 1000 Metres, MASSIVE MILLENNIUM and BELLA BABY momentarily raced tight between HAVE FUN TOGETHER which shifted out marginally and GENEROUS HEART which shifted in before being directed out to relieve the tightening to runners on its inside.
At the 700 Metres, NICE KICK was left racing wide and without cover.
Approaching the 600 Metres, BELLA BABY got its head up and shifted out away from the heels of JOYFUL CONTENDER after being awkwardly placed behind that horse.
GENEROUS HEART was held up for clear running in the early part of the Straight.
Approaching the 200 Metres, THIS ONE’S FOR YOU got its head on the side and shifted out when being ridden out, resulting in its rider changing his whip over to his left hand after the 200 Metres.
After the race, M F Poon was unable to offer any explanation for the disappointing performance of HAVE FUN TOGETHER which he said came under heavy pressure at the 600 Metres, lay out making the turns and then gave ground in the Straight. A veterinary inspection of HAVE FUN TOGETHER immediately following the race did not show any significant findings.
JOYFUL CONTENDER, EVER STRONG and BORNTOACHIEVE were sent for sampling.
