Racing Incident Report
BEAUTY AMIGO began awkwardly, shifted out and bumped TORNADO TWIST and consequently lost ground. BEAUTY AMIGO was then ridden along, however, throughout the race travelled very wide and without cover. After this, TORNADO TWIST, from the outside barrier, was shifted across behind runners.
WALDORF shifted in at the start and bumped SHINING ACE.
VICTORIAM lost its right front plate shortly after the start.
RACING FIGHTER was steadied in the early stages to obtain cover.
Despite being ridden along in the early stage, SHINING ACE was slow to muster speed and then near the 1100 Metres was steadied to obtain cover behind ENCORE BOY.
Passing the 1000 Metres, COUNTRY STAR got its head up when being steadied to allow TEAM SPIRIT to cross.
Approaching the 750 Metres, WINNING METHOD was awkwardly placed close to the heels of ENCORE BOY when travelling keenly.
For some distance after the 700 Metres, VICTORIAM got its head up when travelling keenly.
Passing the 300 Metres, WINNING METHOD was shifted to the outside of SPARKLING DRAGON to obtain clear running.
Near the 250 Metres, SHINING ACE was shifted to the inside of COUNTRY STAR after being disappointed for running between that horse and MOMENT OF POWER, both of which shifted ground. When SHINING ACE was shifted to the inside of COUNTRY STAR, WALDORF was inconvenienced.
Passing the 200 Metres and again near the 150 Metres, ENCORE BOY raced tight inside SPARKLING DRAGON.
Throughout the race, VICTORIAM travelled wide and without cover.
A veterinary inspection of COUNTRY STAR immediately following the race including an endoscopic examination showed a substantial amount of blood in the horse's trachea. Before being allowed to race again, COUNTRY STAR will be subjected to an official veterinary examination.
A veterinary inspection of WALDORF immediately following the race found that horse to have sustained a laceration to the left front cannon
A veterinary inspection of BEAUTY AMIGO immediately following the race including an endoscopic examination showed a substantial amount of mucus in the horse’s trachea.
A veterinary inspection of MOMENT OF POWER immediately following the race did not show any significant findings.
