2 2 BABY CRYSTAL (H081) Apprentice E C W Wong was fined the sum of $2,000 for failing to present himself in the Parade Ring by the required time. Apprentice Wong pleaded guilty to a careless riding charge for causing interference near the 950 Metres (see FAST RESPONDER). Sent for sampling post-race.

5 6 BRAVE STAR (G268) Bumped shortly after the start. Over the final 200 Metres lay out.
6 4 PLEASANT ENDEAVOR (E114) Over the concluding stages raced tight when improving between FLYING HIGH and KA YING VICTORY.
7 8 ACE VICTORY (H076) Bumped shortly after the start.
8 9 SUPER LOVE DRAGON (J038) Jumped awkwardly. For a short distance near the 350 Metres was held up for clear running behind ACE VICTORY.
9 10 VIVA GRACIOUSNESS (J079) Jumped only fairly. C Y Ho was fined the sum of $2,000 for failing to present himself in the Parade Ring by the required time.
10 3 FAST RESPONDER (J295) Apprentice E C W Wong (BABY CRYSTAL) pleaded guilty to a charge of careless riding [Rule 100(1)] in that near the 950 Metres he allowed his mount to shift out when insufficiently clear of FAST RESPONDER, resulting in FAST RESPONDER having to be checked to avoid the heels of BABY CRYSTAL. Apprentice Wong was suspended from riding in races for a period to commence on Monday, 1 July 2024 and to expire on Sunday, 7 July 2024 on which day he may resume race riding (3 Hong Kong racedays). In addition, Apprentice Wong was fined $40,000. In assessing penalty, the Stewards determined the carelessness grade 2 and the consequences grade 2 and also considered his very poor race riding record.
