Racing Incident Report

GOLDEN PROMISE, which was not standing well, began awkwardly and bumped the outside of its gate. After the 600 Metres, TAR 'N' FEATHER and CHARMING STRIDE were momentarily crowded for room by GOLDEN PROMISE. Making the Home Turn and in the Straight, CHARMING STRIDE hung out badly and because of this R Fradd, its rider, was placed at a disadvantage in riding his mount out. At the 200 Metres, TAR 'N' FEATHER, which was attempting to improve between FORTUNE ROAD and GOLDEN PROMISE, was steadied and shifted out as GOLDEN PROMISE commenced to shift in. When TAR 'N' FEATHER was shifted out, some inconvenience was caused to NEWSWIRE which as a result became unbalanced and shifted out. The performance of HELLO FUJI, which tailed out, was considered unacceptable. Before the horse can race again, it will be required to perform competitively in an official barrier trial and will be subjected to an official veterinary examination. FORTUNE ROAD and GOLDEN PROMISE were sent for sampling.
