Racing Incident Report

FREE WAY and CONSTELLATION were slow to begin. PRO JOY began awkwardly. Shortly after the start, HERO OF ABALONE and MAGNIFICENT HORSE were crowded for room between WITHALLMYHEART which began awkwardly and shifted out and FLASH MAC which shifted in away from HORACE'S HORSE. In this incident, WITHALLMYHEART became unbalanced and lost ground. Near the 800 Metres and again after the 700 Metres, LASER GLORY, which was being hard ridden to maintain its position, was steadied when momentarily crowded for room between WYNDAM PLENTY and KAO AND MING (D Whyte) which shifted in slightly. D Whyte was advised to exercise care. Making the turn at the 600 Metres, SILLY BOY lay in and brushed the running rail. CONSTELLATION made the turn near the 600 Metres awkwardly and shifted out when being steadied away from the heels of SILLY BOY. After the 600 Metres, FLASH MAC got its head up when being steadied away from the heels of CONSTELLATION which at this time shifted back in. HORACE'S HORSE, which was following, was steadied in consequence. Making the Home Turn, FREE WAY bumped the running rail and became unbalanced. On straightening, CONSTELLATION got its head up when being steadied to shift to the outside of KAO AND MING into clear running. For a considerable distance after straightening, HORACE'S HORSE was awkwardly placed close to the heels of FLASH MAC which was drifting in. Near the 200 Metres, HORACE'S HORSE was shifted to the outside of FLASH MAC. FREE WAY was sent for an official veterinary inspection. A veterinary inspection of FREE WAY after the race did not show any significant findings. WYNDAM PLENTY and CONSTELLATION were sent for sampling.
