Racing Incident Report

FIRST KNIGHT was slow to begin. COME HO CHOI began awkwardly and then shortly afterwards was checked to avoid the heels of AMBITIOUS LEADER which shifted in. In the early stages, CONQUEROR proved very difficult to settle and pulled its way into a forward position. After the 1200 Metres, HAPPY CRUSADER was crowded for room inside AMBITIOUS LEADER which itself was racing tight inside EASTKOWLOON SPIRIT which got its head on the side and was carried in by CONQUEROR (H K Yim) which shifted in when not properly clear. H K Yim was reprimanded and told to exercise greater care. At the 800 Metres, ONE SHOT, which had its head on the side and was inclined to hang out, was checked away from the heels of MY LUCK which shifted in slightly. COME HO CHOI, which was following, was checked to avoid the heels of ONE SHOT. No action was taken. At the 700 Metres, COME HO CHOI got its head on the side, shifted out and was checked to avoid the heels of SPOKESMAN. Near the 600 Metres, NATIVE LANGUAGE was steadied when awkwardly placed between COME HO CHOI and KING OF SPADES. CONQUEROR made the Home Turn awkwardly and shifted out. In the Straight, LUCKY CORDELIA hung in. The performance of COME HO CHOI, which tailed out, was considered unacceptable. Before being allowed to race again, COME HO CHOI will have to perform competitively in an official barrier trial and be subjected to an official veterinary examination. SPOKESMAN was sent for an official veterinary inspection and sampling. A veterinary inspection of SPOKESMAN after the race did not show any significant findings. MY LUCK and JOYFUL WORLD were sent for sampling. After the race, it was reported EASTKOWLOON SPIRIT had lost its left front plate.
