Racing Incident Report

PURPLE GOLD was withdrawn on 14.2.06 by order of the Stewards (family bereavement). When the gates opened, NATURAL ECHO lifted its front feet off the ground, was slow to begin and then throughout the race travelled wide and without cover. KIDDY SING began awkwardly, bumped the outside gate of its stall and lost ground. NOBLE BOSS was slow to begin. At the 2000 Metres, BROWN BEAUTY was crowded for room inside CHALLENGER. Also at the 2000 Metres, SUNDAY DELIGHT got its head up when being steadied away from the heels of SPECIFIC SORCEROR which shifted in when barely clear. After the 2000 Metres, CHALLENGER got its head up when being steadied away from the heels of ONE EYE JACK. After this, CHALLENGER continued to prove difficult to settle for some distance. Passing the winning post on the first occasion, BROWN BEAUTY was crowded for room inside CHALLENGER which when continuing to prove difficult to settle shifted in away from NATURAL ECHO. Near the 250 Metres, NOBLE BOSS, which was commencing to close the race off, was steadied and shifted to the outside of SUNDAY DELIGHT which at this time shifted in. Passing the 250 Metres, BROWN BEAUTY was awkwardly placed close to the heels of SPECIFIC SORCEROR, then after the 50 Metres made contact with SNIPER which at this time shifted in. After the 200 Metres, SUNDAY DELIGHT was momentarily steadied and shifted to the outside of SNIPER into clear running. Over the concluding stages, SPECTACULAR HIT hung in. KIDDY SING was sent for an official veterinary inspection. A veterinary inspection of KIDDY SING after the race did not show any significant findings. ONE EYE JACK, SPECTACULAR HIT and SUNDAY DELIGHT were sent for sampling.
