Racing Incident Report

FORTE was withdrawn on raceday morning by order of the Stewards acting on veterinary advice (lame right fore). Before being allowed to race again, FORTE will be subjected to an official veterinary examination. After being boxed, MUTUAL FRIENDSHIP broke through underneath the front gates and galloped a considerable distance riderless before being recaptured. Acting on the advice of the Veterinary Officer that MUTUAL FRIENDSHIP was not suitable to race, the horse was withdrawn by order of the Stewards. Before being allowed to race again, MUTUAL FRIENDSHIP will have to perform satisfactorily in an official barrier trial. CHOICE AND CHANCE was slow to begin, then on jumping became badly unbalanced and lost a considerable amount of ground. Before being allowed to race again, CHOICE AND CHANCE will have to perform satisfactorily in a stalls test. PRAGMATIC was slow to begin. At the 800 Metres, GLORY YEARS was momentarily steadied away from the heels of GIGA SPIRITS. At the 400 Metres, PRAGMATIC became unbalanced in its action and was then eased out of the race. PRAGMATIC was sent for an official veterinary inspection. After the race, PRAGMATIC was examined by the Veterinary Officer. He said the horse was lame in the left front leg. Before being allowed to race again, PRAGMATIC will be subjected to an official veterinary examination. Near the 200 Metres, CHOICE AND CHANCE was steadied and shifted out away from the heels of EASY. For the major part of the race, GIGA SPIRITS hung in and proved difficult to ride. KINGIFLY, LASER POWER and GIGA SPIRITS were sent for sampling. After the race, it was reported EASY had lost its left front plate.
