Racing Incident Report

FRUITY FRUITY, FIRM OFFER and TIBER were slow to begin. On jumping, LIBERAL'S KNIGHT stumbled. Making the turn at the 800 Metres, WHATABOB, which was proving difficult to settle, got its head on the side and hung out. CHEEKY made the Home Turn awkwardly After the 200 Metres, FIRM OFFER, which was closing the race off strongly, was shifted to the inside of MY CHOICE to continue going forward. In the Straight, SUPREME CLASS hung out. Throughout the race, NOBLE MAN travelled wide and without cover. E Saint-Martin (FIRM OFFER) was fined $5,000 for misconduct after passing the winning post in that by making contact to the body of B Prebble with his whip he made an inappropriate congratulatory gesture. LIBERAL'S KNIGHT and NOBLE MAN were sent for an official veterinary inspection. A veterinary inspection of LIBERAL'S KNIGHT and NOBLE MAN after the race did not show any significant findings. SUPREME CLASS and FIRM OFFER were sent for sampling. After the race, it was noted WHATABOB was making a respiratory noise.
Additional Veterinary Reports (released on 27 November 2006)
LIBERAL'S KNIGHT, which performed poorly, was examined by the Veterinary Officer. He said at that time there were no significant findings. LIBERAL'S KNIGHT was again examined by the Senior Veterinary Officer at the stables of Trainer J Size this morning. He said at this time he noted the horse to have a cut to the left hind cannon.
