Racing Incident Report

SILVER MARK was withdrawn on 6.4.07 by order of the Stewards acting on veterinary advice (fever) and was replaced by Standby Declared Starter MANZIL (S Dye). MACAROON was withdrawn on raceday morning by order of the Stewards acting on veterinary advice (fever). Before being allowed to race again, SILVER MARK and MACAROON will both be subjected to an official veterinary examination. As the start was effected, SPIRIT OF LO PAN sat back, then began awkwardly and as a consequence lost a considerable amount of ground. Before being allowed to race again, SPIRIT OF LO PAN will have to perform satisfactorily in a stalls test. GEM POWER began awkwardly and shifted in abruptly. At the 800 Metres, FIRST KNIGHT was reluctant to hold its position inside VITAL PATROL which at this time was hanging in. At the 700 Metres, TATTENHALL DELIGHT was steadied away from the heels of SPIRIT OF LO PAN. On straightening, TATTENHALL DELIGHT was awkwardly placed close to the heels of PALIO KING. SPIRIT OF LO PAN was sent for an official veterinary inspection and sampling. FIRST KNIGHT was sent for an official veterinary inspection. A veterinary inspection of SPIRIT OF LO PAN and FIRST KNIGHT after the race did not show any significant findings. OPERA MAGIC and SOLDIER ON were sent for sampling.
