4 8 FIVEFORTWO (K381) From the outside barrier was shifted across behind runners in the early stages.
5 10 FANTASTIC FUN (J364) After passing the 200 Metres was disappointed for clear running between FLYING FORTRESS and MISTER DAPPER until after passing the 100 Metres.
6 3 TELECOM FIGHTERS (D482) No report.
7 1 FLYING FORTRESS (J445) When questioned H Bentley explained that over the concluding stages his mount did not feel comfortable in its action and as he was concerned with the horse’s welfare he elected not to ride it out over the concluding stages. A veterinary inspection immediately following the race which included an endoscopic examination showed a substantial amount of mucus in the horse’s trachea. Given the manner in which the horse weakened over the concluding stages, the Stewards ruled that FLYING FORTRESS will be required to perform to the satisfaction of the Stewards in a barrier trial and be subjected to an official veterinary examination before being allowed to race again.

9 12 ROMANTIC LAOS (G476) From a wide barrier was shifted across behind runners in the early stages.
10 4 A AMERIC TE SPECSO (H037) Slowly away.
11 6 PERFECT TEAM (H120) Jumped only fairly and then was crowded for room between KEMPES and MAX QUE which was taken in by WITHALLMYFAITH before being straightened by its rider.
12 9 OUTGATE (H113) Raced wide and without cover for the majority of the event and weakened in the Home Straight. A veterinary inspection immediately following the race did not show any significant findings.
