Racing Incident Report

Pla. Horse No. Horse Incident
1 2 TYCOON RESOURCES (L234) After being placed in the starting gates reared and got its head over the front of the starting gate for a short period of time. Was removed from the barriers, examined by the Veterinary Officer and passed suitable to race. Briefly crowded near the 600 Metres by SUPER SIXTY which lay in. Sent for sampling post-race.
2 7 GRAND NOVA (J323) Sent for sampling post-race.
3 5 WINNING MONEY (J116) Bumped on jumping. L Ferraris stated that from his wide barrier he was instructed to take up a forward position. Trainer K W Lui confirmed the instructions issued. L Ferraris was fined the sum of $5,000 in relation to using his whip in a manner where the hand holding the whip was above shoulder height on two occasions near the 100 Metres.
4 3 BEAUTY THUNDER (J299) Raced wide and without cover for the majority of the event.
5 6 FLYING TING LOK (K228) No report.
6 8 HARMONY FIRE (E175) Jumped awkwardly, shifted in and made contact with WINNING MONEY.
7 4 BEAUTY SHOW (L260) Z Purton could offer no explanation for his horse’s disappointing performance. A veterinary inspection immediately following the race did not show any significant findings.
8 12 HAPPY UNITED (H208) No report.
9 9 SUPER SIXTY (J071) Jumped awkwardly. Near the 600 Metres lay in towards TYCOON RESOURCES and as a result rider J Moreira was obliged to correct his mount at that point. Between the 250 Metres and the 150 Metres had difficulty obtaining clear running when being shifted to the outside of HARMONY FIRE.
10 10 BITS SUPERSTAR (J362) Over the concluding stages could not be fully ridden out when positioned close to BEAUTY SHOW. A veterinary inspection immediately following the race did not show any significant findings.
11 1 GIANT SPIRIT (L169) No report.
12 11 ZEPHYR (K414) Jumped only fairly. Near the 600 Metres was steadied to avoid TYCOON RESOURCES. A veterinary inspection immediately following the race did not show any significant findings.
