6 10 SKY FOREVER (E414) Jumped only fairly and then was crowded shortly after the start by MARK THE MOMENT. For some distance near the 600 Metres was awkwardly placed behind GOOD BUDDY.
7 3 SMOKEY BEAR (E126) After the race, K De Melo stated that his mount, in his opinion, did not appreciate carrying the extra weight in today’s event and as a result finished the race off in a one-paced manner. A veterinary inspection immediately following the race which included an endoscopic examination showed a substantial amount of blood in the horse’s trachea. Before being allowed to race again, SMOKEY BEAR will be subjected to an official veterinary examination. Sent for sampling post-race.
8 9 AMAZING DUCK (H392) Jumped only fairly. A veterinary inspection immediately following the race did not show any significant findings.
9 1 OUTGATE (H113) Raced wide and without cover for the majority of the event. A veterinary inspection immediately following the race did not show any significant findings.
10 8 SPORTS LEGEND (H456) After the race, K Teetan reported that after obtaining the lead SPORTS LEGEND failed to respond to his riding in the Home Straight and was most disappointing. A veterinary inspection immediately following the race did not show any significant findings.
11 11 YOUTH POWER (H358) No report.
12 12 HAPPY FAT CAT (G166) Jumped awkwardly. A veterinary inspection immediately following the race did not show any significant findings. The performance of HAPPY FAT CAT which finished tailed out, was considered unacceptable. Before being allowed to race again, HAPPY FAT CAT will be required to perform to the satisfaction of the Stewards in a barrier trial and be subjected to an official veterinary examination.
