1 4 SPEED DRAGON (H380) Jumped only fairly. Held up from the 450 Metres to the 350 Metres. Sent for sampling post-race.

4 6 KARMA (G392) For a short distance leaving the 200 Metres raced tight between BEAUTY MISSILE and MARADO which shifted in slightly. Inside the 50 Metres was steadied to avoid the heels of SPEED DRAGON (J McDonald) which shifted in. J McDonald was reprimanded. Sent for sampling post-race.
5 3 GOLDEN ARTIE (G434) Jumped awkwardly and from the outside barrier was shifted across behind runners in the early stages.
6 8 BEAUTY MISSILE (H123) No report.
7 12 MARADO (E245) Leaving the 400 Metres, C L Chau lost control of his whip for a number of strides before regathering. Raced wide and without cover for the majority of the event.
8 9 FLYING MOJITO (G412) No report.

10 10 ZOOM BOOM (G131) Bumped on jumping and became unbalanced. Leaving the 200 Metres was awkwardly placed close to FLYING MOJITO for a short distance when improving to that runner’s inside.
11 5 MASTER OF FORTUNE (G474) Prior to the declaration of weighed-in, the Stewards conducted an inquiry to ascertain whether MASTER OF FORTUNE had been denied a fair start. After taking evidence from Z Purton and Mr A Speechley, Starter, the Stewards found that whilst being assisted by a starting gate handler MASTER OF FORTUNE reared simultaneously as the start was effected which resulted in MASTER OF FORTUNE losing significant ground. As the Stewards were satisfied that MASTER OF FORTUNE had not been denied a fair start, weighed-in was declared on the numbers semaphored by the Judge. Before being allowed to race again, MASTER OF FORTUNE will be required to perform satisfactorily in a barrier trial. A veterinary inspection immediately following the race did not show any significant findings.
12 2 BEAUTYVERSE (H075) A veterinary inspection immediately following the race did not show any significant findings.
13 11 MAJESTIC SPEED (J018) Jumped awkwardly, made heavy contact with ZOOM BOOM, blundered and became unbalanced. Raced keenly throughout the early stages.
14 1 CELESTIAL POWER (D393) Jumped awkwardly and from a wide barrier was shifted across behind runners in the early stages. After the race, M Chadwick reported that his mount failed to stretch out fully throughout the event. A veterinary inspection immediately following the race did not show any significant findings. The performance of CELESTIAL POWER, which finished tailed out on the second consecutive occasion, was considered unacceptable. Before being allowed to race again, CELESTIAL POWER will be required to perform to the satisfaction of the Stewards in a series of consecutive barrier trials and be subjected to an official veterinary examination which must include additional diagnostic assessments.
