Racing Incident Report

SPICY GRILL was slow to begin.
SEIZE THE SPIRIT got its head up on jumping.
As the start was effected, FUN TIMES shifted out and bumped with CITY LEGEND. CITY LEGEND then lost ground soon after the start when buffeted between FUN TIMES and RIGHTEOUS WIN which shifted in. In this incident, RIGHTEOUS WIN became unbalanced due to contact on its hindquarters from CITY LEGEND.
From wide barriers, DESTIN, RED ZOFFANY, THE FULL BLOOM and BLAZING PARTNERS were all shifted across behind runners in the early stages.
SEIZE THE SPIRIT lost its right front plate in the early stages.
Approaching the 300 Metres, Apprentice C L Chau (CITY LEGEND) momentarily dropped his left rein.
In the Straight, VIVA COUNCIL hung out and proved difficult to ride.
For the majority of the race, RIGHTEOUS WIN and WELL DRAGON travelled wide and without cover.
A veterinary inspection of CITY LEGEND and THE FULL BLOOM immediately following the race did not show any significant findings.
A veterinary inspection of SEIZE THE SPIRIT and WELL DRAGON immediately following the race found both horses to have an intermittent displacement of the soft palate.
SPICY GRILL, GREEN ENVY and DESTIN were sent for sampling.
