2 8 GLITTERING LEGEND (L109) Bumped when crowded near the 1500 Metres. Crowded near the 1000 Metres. Sent for sampling post-race.
3 9 ENDEARED (H161) Bumped when crowded near the 1500 Metres. R Kingscote (LOCH TAY) pleaded guilty to a charge of careless riding [Rule 100(1)] in that near the 1000 Metres he allowed his mount to shift in, resulting in DRAGON AIR FORCE being taken in onto GLITTERING LEGEND which was taken in across the running of ENDEARED which was steadied when crowded to the inside of GLITTERING LEGEND. R Kingscote was suspended from riding in races for one Hong Kong raceday to be conducted on Wednesday, 27 May 2026 at Happy Valley. In assessing penalty, the Stewards determined the carelessness grade 2 and the consequences grade 1 and also considered his good race riding record.
4 6 LOCH TAY (K356) R Kingscote pleaded guilty to a careless riding charge for causing interference near the 1000 Metres (see ENDEARED).
5 11 NEZHA (K494) Near the 300 Metres became awkwardly placed on the heels of TURIN MASCOT when endeavouring to improve to the inside of that runner.
6 13 TURIN MASCOT (H165) Near the 1500 Metres DRAGON AIR FORCE (Apprentice H Y Yuen) shifted in when not clear of GLITTERING LEGEND, resulting in GLITTERING LEGEND making contact with ENDEARED which was taken in and crowding TURIN MASCOT. Apprentice Yuen was severely reprimanded.
7 10 NOISY BOY (J536) Jumped only fairly and then from a wide barrier was shifted across behind runners in the early stages. Approaching the 400 Metres shifted out and made contact with TALENTS AMBITION.
8 5 DRAGON AIR FORCE (J279) Raced keenly in the early stages and near the 1000 Metres was steadied away from LOCH TAY. Near the 200 Metres was accidentally struck across its head by the whip of C L Chau, rider of GLITTERING LEGEND.
9 1 TALENTS AMBITION (J136) Approaching the 400 Metres and again shortly afterwards was bumped by NOISY BOY which shifted out.
10 3 SWORD POINT (G448) K C Leung could offer no explanation for his mount’s disappointing performance. A veterinary inspection immediately following the race did not show any significant findings.
11 14 SUPREME AGILITY (J267) No report.
12 2 STEPS AHEAD (J263) L Hewitson stated that the intention was to be more forward but after his mount began only fairly he was obliged to settle further back in the field than intended.
13 4 WINNING DRAGON (E461) Near the 500 Metres, when commencing to give ground, was crowded between SWORD POINT and SKY VINO which shifted out slightly. Raced wide and without cover for the majority of the event. The performance of WINNING DRAGON, which finished tailed out, was considered unacceptable. Before being allowed to race again, WINNING DRAGON will be required to perform to the satisfaction of the Stewards in a barrier trial and be subjected to an official veterinary examination. A veterinary inspection immediately following the race did not show any significant findings.
WV-A 12 FORTUNATE SON (J446) Fractious in the Parade Ring, reared and fell over. Was examined by the Veterinary Officer who said it was not suitable to race. Acting on this advice FORTUNATE SON was withdrawn by order of the Stewards. Before being allowed to race again, FORTUNATE SON will be subjected to an official veterinary examination.
