Racing Incident Report

After arriving at the barrier, GREEN CENTURY, which had been reported to be moving stiff behind in the Parade Ring, was examined by the Veterinary Surgeon. The horse was trotted up and after the necessary consultations was considered suitable to race. GREENMORE and HOROSCOPE were slow to begin. LUCKY SIX began awkwardly and got its head up, as a consequence lost ground. At the 1200 Metres, CELESTIAL MAGIC got its head up and shifted out abruptly from behind BEST FOR ALL which shifted in when only just clear. In this incident, ALL THE BEST was hampered and carried wider. Running towards the first turn, OPERA MAGIC proved difficult to settle, got its head up on a number of occasions and at the 800 Metres shifted out away from the heels of ALL THE BEST. On straightening, ALWAYS WIN was disappointed for running when attempting to shift to the outside of OPERA MAGIC and inside FLORAL DYNAMITE. For some distance after the 200 Metres, ALWAYS WIN had difficulty obtaining a clear run between ALL THE BEST and OPERA MAGIC. CELESTIAL MAGIC, GREEN CENTURY and ALWAYS WIN were sent for sampling.
