What is World Pool?
World Pool is an exciting and innovative version of international commingling. It is an extension of the HKJC’s commingling business on Hong Kong local races, where HKJC accepts bets from overseas partners and local punters, to create the deepest and most liquid pari-mutuel pools for top races around the world.
It is World Pool’s vision to bring the world’s finest racing to a global audience all year round, and to host internationally commingled pools on these races. By following racing circuit around the globe, we aim to promote the world's best horse races, using the IFHA Top 100 G1 Races and the most important G1 Classics as a benchmark.

World Pool features over 80 prestigious G1 races from the past three years, allowing customers from around the globe to commingle into the premium meetings. With 26 participating jurisdictions contributing to the pool, most World Pool days amass over HK$300 million in turnover. Customers can enjoy enlarged liquidity pools, resulting in reduced odds fluctuations and better value opportunities.
Not all simulcast meetings are World Pool
A few criteria have to be met in order for a simulcast meeting to become a World Pool meeting:
Commingling is allowed in the host track countries / regions
Successful negotiations and agreements with overseas partners
Compatible technology and connectivity
Tried and tested operations and dry run
World Pool Initiatives
With the core mission of giving back to the racing industry, and promoting the world’s best horse races, World Pool drives three major initiatives including:
Moment of the Day/Year
One Moment of the Day will be selected at each featured World Pool meeting. The winning groom/yard receives a prize of HK$40,000 (or equivalent) and a chance to be named Moment of the Year, winning a VIP trip for four.
Jockeys' Championship
Elite jockeys compete against one another across all UK and Ireland World Pool meetings for a season. Points will be awarded based on the World Pool WIN odds. Jockey with the highest accumulated points will be awarded a prize of GBP50,000 to be donated to a charity of his/her choice.
World Pool Ambassador
Four-time LONGINES World’s Best Jockey Ryan Moore partners with World Pool to provide regular blogs and insights ahead of key World Pool races, and is featured in advertising and marketing campaigns.
