K Teetan stated that his mount travelled keenly in the early stages but did not run on in the Home Straight. Trainer B Crawford advised that, in his opinion, CELESTIAL HARMONY failed to run out 1800 Metres under its top weight of 135 lbs. He added that he would now consider dropping CELESTIAL HARMONY back in distance for its next race start. A veterinary inspection immediately following the race did not show any significant findings.
12 2 DILBAGH (K055) 3 R Kingscote Taken out shortly after the start and made contact with ISLAND GOLDEN. Raced keenly in the early stages. Near the 1100 Metres was steadied to avoid CELESTIAL HARMONY. A veterinary inspection immediately following the race found that horse to have bled from both nostrils. Before being allowed to race again, DILBAGH will be required to perform satisfactorily in a barrier trial and be subjected to an official veterinary examination.

1 4 DASHING MAURISON (K374) 9 H Bentley Trainer D A Hayes stated that with blinkers being applied for the first time he had instructed H Bentley to go forward and lead if the horse commenced well. Sent for sampling post-race.
3 5 FAMILY FORTUNE (H447) 8 E C W Wong (-3) From a wide barrier was shifted across behind runners in the early stages. Bumped near the 500 Metres and taken wider by ISLAND GOLDEN.
5 6 KASA PAPA (G312) 10 C L Chau (-2) Jumped only fairly.
4 7 PERFECT PAIRING (J331) 5 H Bowman Bumped shortly after the start and became unbalanced. Passing the 250 Metres was shifted to the inside of CELESTIAL HARMONY to continue into clear running and as a result made slight contact with PERFECT PEACH. Sent for sampling post-race.
11 8 PERFECT PEACH (E488) 1 C Y Ho Bumped after the 250 Metres. A veterinary inspection immediately following the race which included an endoscopic examination showed a substantial amount of blood in the horse’s trachea. Before being allowed to race again, PERFECT PEACH will be subjected to an official veterinary examination.
10 9 GOLDEN FAIRY (E448) 11 M L Yeung When commencing to give ground near the 150 Metres raced in restricted room between HAPPY BUDDIES and SPLENDID FORCE which shifted out.
7 10 HAPPY BUDDIES (K344) 12 K C Leung Kicked a rail at the Start, was examined by the Veterinary Officer and passed suitable to race. K C Leung stated that the instructions were to go forward but preferably to obtain cover. He said when caught wide in the early stages he was obliged to continue forward to race outside the lead to avoid covering additional ground.
6 11 ISLAND GOLDEN (H018) 4 Y L Chung (-2) Shortly after the start became unbalanced when bumped by DILBAGH which was taken out by SPLENDID FORCE. Approaching the 500 Metres raced keenly and was shifted out to avoid PERFECT PAIRING, resulting in it making contact with FAMILY FORTUNE. Y L Chung stated that the instructions were to go forward. He said after being crowded shortly after the start his mount did not show sufficient pace to hold a more forward position.
9 12 MR ALADDIN (H386) 6 P N Wong (-7) Shortly after the start shifted out slightly and made contact with CELESTIAL HARMONY. MR ALADDIN then shifted in, made contact with PERFECT PAIRING and became unbalanced. Near the 1000 Metres was eased to avoid KASA PAPA (C L Chau) which shifted in. C L Chau was advised to exercise more care.
WV GOLD TACK (H106) M F Poon Withdrawn on 28.4.26 by order of the Stewards acting on veterinary advice (lame left fore) and replaced by Standby Declared Starter HAPPY BUDDIES. Before being allowed to race again, GOLD TACK will be subjected to an official veterinary examination.

C Y Ho could offer no explanation for the horse’s disappointing performance. A veterinary inspection immediately following the race did not show any significant findings.

He said whilst his mount travelled well outside the leader throughout the event AGENDA came under pressure prior to straightening and was unable to finish its race off in the Home Straight. A veterinary inspection immediately following the race did not show any significant findings.

9 3 SERANGOON (H296) 1 K Teetan Bumped near the 600 Metres. K Teetan stated that his mount did not appreciate the "Good to Yielding” track conditions. A veterinary inspection immediately following the race did not show any significant findings.
12 4 KING OF SELECTION (K397) 11 C L Chau (-2) Raced wide and without cover in the early stages before giving ground in the Home Straight. The performance of KING OF SELECTION, which finished tailed out, was considered unacceptable. Before being allowed to race again, KING OF SELECTION will be required to perform to the satisfaction of the Stewards in a barrier trial and be subjected to an official veterinary examination. A veterinary inspection immediately following the race did not show any significant findings.
2 5 DOUBLE WIN (H382) 7 C Y Ho Jumped only fairly. Shortly after the start was bumped by JOYFUL PROSPERITY which shifted in slightly. Near the 2000 Metres raced tight between NOBLE PURSUIT and JOYFUL PROSPERITY which shifted in momentarily. Sent for sampling post-race.
8 6 PACKING HURRICANE (H137) 4 H Bentley Approaching the 400 Metres shifted to the outside of SMART CITY to commence to improve. As a result PACKING HURRICANE made contact with AGENDA and raced tight between AGENDA and SMART CITY which lay out on the Home Turn.

3 8 JOYFUL PROSPERITY (H213) 8 B Avdulla Bumped shortly after the start. Lay in under pressure in the Home Straight. Raced wide and without cover for the majority of the event.
6 9 STAR BROSE (J463) 5 Z Purton Raced keenly in the early and middle stages. After the 600 Metres lost ground when being steadied to avoid KING OF SELECTION as that runner gave ground. As a result STAR BROSE shifted out and made contact with SERANGOON. Between the 300 Metres and the 200 Metres was badly held up for clear running behind SMART CITY. A veterinary inspection immediately following the race did not show any significant findings. Sent for sampling post-race.
1 10 SUPER GOLDENDRAGON (K458) 6 K C Leung After the 2000 Metres was steadied to avoid SMART CITY (R Kingscote) which shifted in when not clear. R Kingscote was reprimanded. K C Leung stated that after this incident his mount raced keenly for some distance thereafter. Near the 700 Metres improved to the outside of KING OF SELECTION as that runner came under pressure. As a result SUPER GOLDENDRAGON then raced tight between KING OF SELECTION and ROMANTIC FANTASY and made contact with ROMANTIC FANTASY on a number of occasions. When questioned regarding the improved performance Trainer W K Mo stated that, in his view, the horse was assisted by being stepped up in distance for tonight’s race and also appeared to appreciate the "Good to Yielding” track conditions. Sent for sampling post-race.
5 11 ROMANTIC FANTASY (H168) 12 A Badel Jumped only fairly. Approaching the 600 Metres bumped with SUPER GOLDENDRAGON on a number of occasions. A Badel stated that the instructions were to hold a handy position. He said when his mount did not show sufficient pace to hold that position he elected to shift behind runners making the first turn to avoid covering additional ground.
10 12 SMART CITY (J213) 9 R Kingscote R Kingscote stated that his mount did not appreciate being pressured by AGENDA in the lead and consequently was left without a finishing effort in the Home Straight. A veterinary inspection immediately following the race did not show any significant findings.

12 2 JOY CAPITAL (K573) 9 J Orman Shortly after the start was crowded between BRIGHT DAY and BRAVE WIN, both of which shifted ground. After travelling a short distance was badly crowded by BRAVE WIN. Bumped near the 550 Metres. Raced wide and without cover for the majority of the event. A veterinary inspection immediately following the race did not show any significant findings.

5 4 BRIGHT DAY (J530) 10 C L Chau (-2) Bumped shortly after the start. After travelling a short distance became unbalanced when bumped and taken wider by JOY CAPITAL. Over the final 50 Metres was held up for clear running between HEROIC MASTER and CROSSBORDERDUDE.
6 5 ACE POWER (J181) 1 L Ferraris Over the final 50 Metres had difficulty obtaining clear running when racing tight to the inside of HEROIC MASTER.
10 6 LIGHTNING ACE (L136) 11 E Brown Shortly after the start BRAVE WIN became unbalanced when it shifted out and away from WINNING NOW and made contact with JOY CAPITAL. BRAVE WIN was then briefly crowded by WINNING NOW (K Teetan) which shifted out, resulting in BRAVE WIN continuing to make contact with JOY CAPITAL and then resulting in JOY CAPITAL and BRIGHT DAY being taken out across the running of LIGHTNING ACE, resulting in LIGHTNING ACE striking the heels of BRIGHT DAY, blundering and losing ground. Whilst the Stewards found that the incident was partially due to BRAVE WIN shifting out when it made contact with JOY CAPITAL, K Teetan was reprimanded and advised in similar circumstances he would be expected to straighten his mounts when they shift ground whilst not clear. Leaving the 400 Metres was shifted to the outside of AWESOME TREASURE. LIGHTNING ACE then lay in and near the 350 Metres was steadied away from AWESOME TREASURE which shifted out slightly.
7 7 STARRY SHOW (L074) 4 H Bentley Bumped shortly after the start. H Bentley stated that with blinkers being reapplied to the horse tonight the instructions were to go forward and race on pace, similar to the position it held when it barrier trialed at Conghua on 20 April 2026.
11 8 AWESOME TREASURE (E435) 3 P N Wong (-7) Apprentice P N Wong stated that the intention was to be more forward but after jumping only fairly and then making contact with the hindquarters of STARRY SHOW shortly after the start her mount settled further back than intended.
9 9 FLASH STAR (K431) 12 R Kingscote After travelling a short distance was hampered when taken wider by LIGHTNING ACE.
8 10 BRAVE WIN (K421) 8 C Y Ho Bumped shortly after the start. After travelling a short distance became unbalanced when it made contact with JOY CAPITAL whilst racing tight to the outside of WINNING NOW.

The performance of LUCKY DOCTOR, which finished tailed out, was considered unacceptable. Before being allowed to race again, LUCKY DOCTOR will be required to perform to the satisfaction of the Stewards in a barrier trial and be subjected to an official veterinary examination.

8 3 ORIGIN OF FORM (K517) 5 E Brown On jumping was checked when crowded by SUPERB KING which shifted in abruptly. When being crossed by QUICK MONEY approaching the 1000 Metres raced keenly and was steadied to avoid QUICK MONEY.
5 4 MIGHTY FIGHTER (L132) 11 H Bowman Near the 400 Metres was bumped by LUCKY DOCTOR which shifted out when giving ground. Raced wide and without cover for the majority of the event.

10 6 KING CANNON (K543) 4 R Kingscote R Kingscote reported that his mount jumped only fairly when it slipped at the start. Shortly after the start became unbalanced when bumped by ORIGIN OF FORM. Making the turn near the 1000 Metres was steadied to avoid LEGEND STAR when racing keenly.

2 1 MIGHTY STEED (J384) 12 Z Purton Prior to declaring weighed-in the Stewards viewed the patrol films to ascertain if there were grounds for a protest/objection against ANOTHER ZONDA being declared the winner due to ANOTHER ZONDA shifting out and brushing MIGHTY STEED approaching the finish of the race. The Stewards were satisfied that there were not sufficient grounds to do so and accordingly weighed-in was declared on the numbers semaphored by the Judge. Sent for sampling post-race.
6 2 ROMANTIC LAOS (G476) 4 E Brown Jumped only fairly. Shortly after the start shifted out, made contact with EXCELLENT BOY and became unbalanced. Between the 300 Metres and the 200 Metres was held up for clear running when being shifted to the inside of JUSTIFYING which was giving ground.
7 3 BEAUTY VIVA (K155) 3 H Bowman Near the 400 Metres shifted out and made contact with VIVACIOUS WIN. Near the 100 Metres was steadied when crowded between VIVACIOUS WIN which shifted in slightly and NEVER TOO SOON which shifted out. Lay in in the Home Straight.

4 5 LUCKY TOGETHER (L079) 10 K C Leung Approaching the 250 Metres had some difficulty obtaining clear running when it lay in whilst being shifted to the outside of VIVACIOUS WIN.
3 6 NEVER TOO SOON (E434) 2 B Avdulla Held up on the Home Turn. Lay out under pressure over the final 150 Metres, resulting in its rider B Avdulla changing his whip through to his left hand near the 100 Metres.
8 7 THE ABSOLUTE (H438) 11 L Ferraris Jumped only fairly. From a wide barrier was shifted across behind runners in the early stages. Near the 200 Metres was momentarily crowded by ROMANTIC LAOS which shifted in.
10 8 GENERAL REDWOOD (L102) 9 Y L Chung (-2) Bumped on jumping. Near the 150 Metres made contact with EXCELLENT BOY which was taken out. Raced wide and without cover for the majority of the event. Y L Chung stated that at the start his saddle shifted back, placing him at some disadvantage throughout the event. A veterinary inspection immediately following the race did not show any significant findings.
12 9 JUSTIFYING (K027) 1 E C W Wong (-3) Approaching the 1300 Metres momentarily raced tight to the inside of EXCELLENT BOY which was taken in by ANOTHER ZONDA which shifted in before being corrected by its rider. A veterinary inspection immediately following the race did not show any significant findings.
5 10 VIVACIOUS WIN (K223) 6 C L Chau (-2) Near the 400 Metres became unbalanced when bumped by BEAUTY VIVA which shifted out when improving. When questioned regarding his riding C L Chau stated that the instructions were to obtain a handy position and then in the Home Straight to not use the whip until the concluding stages as he and Trainer D Eustace agreed that the horse had not previously responded well when being ridden strongly with the whip. He added despite riding his mount along in the early stages to hold a more forward position VIVACIOUS WIN did not show sufficient pace to do so and as a result settled further back than intended where it was obliged to race wide but with cover behind GENERAL REDWOOD. When questioned regarding his vigour in the early stages of the Home Straight C L Chau stated that after improving to the outside of BEAUTY VIVA he was satisfied that his mount was improving whilst being encouraged into the race and for this reason he did not fully test the horse until near the 200 Metres. He said near the 200 Metres he then applied full vigour to VIVACIOUS WIN at which point the horse lay in which prevented him from fully riding the horse out to the finish of the race. Trainer Eustace confirmed the instructions issued and stated he agreed with Jockey Chau that the whip should be used over the concluding stages as VIVACIOUS WIN had raced and barrier trialed well when ridden in this manner. He also expressed satisfaction with the manner in which Jockey Chau rode the horse in the Home Straight. Sent for sampling post-race.
9 11 EXCELLENT BOY (K435) 5 M L Yeung Bumped on the hindquarters shortly after the start. Briefly crowded approaching the 1300 Metres. Near the 150 Metres was steadied when crowded between GENERAL REDWOOD and NEVER TOO SOON (B Avdulla) which shifted out. B Avdulla was reprimanded and advised to ensure he is sufficiently clear when shifting ground. <30/4/2026 Additional Veterinary Report> The Veterinary Surgeon reported that EXCELLENT BOY was lame in its right front leg on the morning after racing. Before being allowed to race again, EXCELLENT BOY will be subjected to an official veterinary examination.

1 3 BOTTOMUPTOGETHER (J316) 4 L Ferraris Approaching the 250 Metres was steadied when briefly racing tight to the inside of STELLAR EXPRESS which shifted in before being corrected by its rider B Avdulla. Near the 150 Metres BOTTOMUPTOGETHER made slight contact with STELLAR EXPRESS when it continued to improve into a narrow run to the inside of STELLAR EXPRESS which shifted in and away from CANDLELIGHT DINNER. 5 4 MAGIC CONTROL (J333) 1 K Teetan Bumped on jumping. Over the concluding stages raced tight between CANDLELIGHT DINNER and GLOWING PRAISES, both of which shifted ground slightly.
8 5 BRAVE STAR (G268) 3 M L Yeung Jumped only fairly. M L Yeung stated that, in his opinion, his mount would be better suited by being stepped back up in distance for its next race start. A veterinary inspection immediately following the race did not show any significant findings.
7 6 AKASHVANI (K234) 7 H Bentley Shifted in on jumping and made contact with COLOURFUL KING. Shortly after AKASHVANI became unbalanced when bumped by GLOWING PRAISES which shifted in. H Bentley stated that with his mount dropping back in distance from 1400 Metres to 1000 Metres he was obliged to make use of it throughout the event to hold his position. He said as a result AKASHVANI finished the race off only fairly in the Home Straight. A veterinary inspection immediately following the race did not show any significant findings.

2 8 GLOWING PRAISES (L223) 8 P N Wong (-7) On jumping was crowded by STELLAR EXPRESS which shifted in abruptly. As a result GLOWING PRAISES shifted in and made contact with AKASHVANI. Sent for sampling post-race.
10 9 YOUTHFUL SPIRITS (J082) 6 M Chadwick Jumped only fairly and then was steadied when crowded between COLOURFUL KING and AKASHVANI. M Chadwick stated that the intention was to be more forward but after being crowded at the start his mount raced keenly when settling back in the field. A veterinary inspection immediately following the race found that horse to be a "roarer” which had previously been reported.
4 10 CANDLELIGHT DINNER (J468) 2 A Badel Bumped on jumping. Approaching the finish was bumped on the hindquarters by MAGIC CONTROL. As a result CANDLELIGHT DINNER became slightly unbalanced which prevented its rider A Badel from riding his mount out fully to the finish of the race.

A veterinary inspection immediately following the race which included an endoscopic examination showed a substantial amount of blood in the horse’s trachea. Before being allowed to race again, MID WINTER WIND will be subjected to an official veterinary examination.
9 2 HAPPY INDEX (L152) 12 H Bowman H Bowman stated that the instructions were to go forward but he was obliged to make too much use of his horse in the early stages to take up a position outside the lead. He said as a result HAPPY INDEX could not finish the race off in the Home Straight. A veterinary inspection immediately following the race did not show any significant findings.

Jumped only fairly and then was bumped shortly after the start by MID WINTER WIND. Approaching the 500 Metres was steadied to avoid MEOWTH when that runner gave ground when being steadied away from EMBRACE ABERDEEN.

11 1 SOLID WIN (J225) 9 H Bowman As the start was effected lowered its head, resulting in SOLID WIN being slow to begin. E C W Wong (CORLEONE) pleaded guilty to a charge of careless riding [Rule 100(1)] in that leaving the 1400 Metres he allowed his mount to shift in when insufficiently clear of LUCKY TWIN STARS, resulting in LUCKY TWIN STARS being crowded in onto SOLID WIN which also resulted in SOLID WIN having to be severely checked and losing its rightful running. E C W Wong was suspended from riding in races for a period to commence on Sunday, 17 May 2026 and to expire on Monday, 25 May 2026 on which day he may resume race riding (3 Hong Kong racedays). In addition, Jockey Wong was fined $20,000. In assessing penalty, the Stewards determined the carelessness grade 2 and the consequences grade 3 and also considered his poor race riding record. H Bowman stated that after being severely checked leaving the 1400 Metres his mount raced keenly thereafter. He added after being held up making the Home Turn his mount was unable to run on in the Home Straight. Between the 450 Metres and the 300 Metres was held up for clear running behind SPICY GOLD which was giving ground. Near the 300 Metres was crowded by SPICY GOLD when improving into a narrow run to the inside of SPICY GOLD. A veterinary inspection immediately following the race did not show any significant findings.

9 3 CORLEONE (J426) 8 E C W Wong (-3) Raced keenly in the middle stages. E C W Wong pleaded guilty to a careless riding charge for causing interference leaving the 1400 Metres (see SOLID WIN). Near the 500 Metres was steadied to avoid SPICY GOLD which was commencing to give ground. When questioned regarding his riding over the final 200 Metres E C W Wong stated that his mount hung in when placed under pressure in the Home Straight. He said near the 100 Metres when VIVA GRACIOUSNESS shifted out slightly he was unable to avoid VIVA GRACIOUSNESS’ heels and as a result CORLEONE could not be fully tested to the finish of the event when it raced in restricted room between LUCKY TWIN STARS and VIVA GRACIOUSNESS. A veterinary inspection immediately following the race did not show any significant findings.
