Trainer B Crawford confirmed the instructions and stated he issued those instructions as ONLY U had been racing back in its races and had found it difficult to make up ground from that position at its previous race starts. For some distance after the 500 Metres raced tight between MEGA FORCE and ACE WAR and made contact with both runners. A veterinary inspection immediately following the race revealed that the horse was displaying an irregular heart rhythm. Before being allowed to race again, YOUNG BRAVO will be required to perform satisfactorily in a barrier trial and be subjected to an official veterinary examination.
7 2 SERANGOON (H296) 11 H Bowman From a wide barrier was shifted across behind runners in the early stages. H Bowman reported that his mount did not appreciate racing in amongst other horses and racing on the track which, whilst still rated as "Good”, had effects of some light rain which had fallen during the meeting. A veterinary inspection immediately following the race did not show any significant findings.

Near the 500 Metres improved to the inside of YOUNG BRAVO and then raced tight to the inside of YOUNG BRAVO for some distance thereafter when YOUNG BRAVO was racing tight to the inside of MEGA FORCE. 12 10 MEGA FORCE (K200) 4 C Y Ho Shortly after the start was bumped by SHARPEN BRIGHT which shifted out. In the early stages raced keenly and near the 1900 Metres got its head up when being steadied away from SHARPEN BRIGHT. Near the 500 Metres made contact with YOUNG BRAVO. When questioned C Y Ho stated that after improving to the outside of SHARPEN BRIGHT near the 700 Metres to commence a forward move his mount then hung in when VIVA TASTE improved to his outside. He said as a result MEGA FORCE became awkwardly placed on the heels of SHARPEN BRIGHT and was steadied when unable to hold its position between SHARPEN BRIGHT and VIVA TASTE.
2 11 STAR BROSE (J463) 8 M L Yeung Jumped awkwardly and lost ground. After the 800 Metres STAR BROSE commenced to improve into a narrow run between SURE JOYFUL and SHARPEN BRIGHT when SHARPEN BRIGHT (M F Poon) shifted out slightly. Near the 600 Metres SHARPEN BRIGHT then shifted back in, resulting in STAR BROSE having to be checked when crowded between SURE JOYFUL and SHARPEN BRIGHT. M F Poon was advised in similar circumstances to exercise more care. Approaching the 300 Metres was hampered when taken wider by YIU CHEUNG VICTORY. Sent for sampling post-race.
10 12 VIVA TASTE (K415) 10 H Bentley Jumped awkwardly, shifted in and made contact with YIU CHEUNG VICTORY. Raced wide and without cover for the majority of the event. A veterinary inspection immediately following the race found that horse to be a "roarer” which had previously been reported.
WV PACKING HURRICANE (H137) A Atzeni Withdrawn on 3.3.26 by order of the Stewards acting on veterinary advice (lame left fore) and replaced by Standby Declared Starter ACE WAR. Before being allowed to race again, PACKING HURRICANE will be subjected to an official veterinary examination.

Near the 800 Metres became unbalanced when HOLMES A COURT (H Bowman) shifted to the outside of SKY CAP after being crossed by that runner. H Bowman was advised to exercise more care. K C Leung stated that his mount raced greenly and near the 900 Metres, when being crossed by SKY CAP (D B McMonagle), was steadied to avoid that runner when it shifted in when not quite clear. D B McMonagle was advised to exercise more care. VIVA BOSS was then obliged to race wide and without cover for the remainder of the event.
5 7 FLASH STAR (K431) 11 R Kingscote Jumped only fairly. From a wide barrier was shifted across behind runners in the early stages. Lay in in the Home Straight and proved difficult to ride out.
9 8 STAR PERFORMER (K207) 6 A Badel Near the 300 Metres raced tight between VIVA BOSS and GENIUS BABY which shifted out to improve. A Badel stated that his mount jumped only fairly, shifted in and made contact with GAMEPLAYER ELITE and then settled slightly further back than anticipated. He said in the Home Straight STAR PERFORMER did not respond to his riding. A veterinary inspection immediately following the race found that horse to be lame in its right front leg and an endoscopic examination also showed a substantial amount of blood in the horse’s trachea. Before being allowed to race again, STAR PERFORMER will be subjected to an official veterinary examination.

8 10 HAPPY ALLIANCE (K316) 8 A Atzeni Bumped on jumping. After travelling a short distance was eased when racing tight between TACTICAL VICTORY and SKY CAP. A Atzeni stated that he was instructed to ride the horse in a conservative manner in the early stages as the horse had not been finishing its races off when racing in an on-pace position. Trainer K W Lui confirmed the instructions issued.

WV FALCON HUNTER (K503) C L Chau (-2) Withdrawn on 3.3.26 by order of the Stewards acting on veterinary advice (lame left hind) and replaced by Standby Declared Starter ETERNAL RICHNESS. Before being allowed to race again, FALCON HUNTER will be subjected to an official veterinary examination.
WV-A 5 GRAND MASTERMIND (L084) L Ferraris Was examined by the Veterinary Officer after arriving at the Start and found to be lame in its right front leg. Acting on veterinary advice that the horse was not suitable to race GRAND MASTERMIND was withdrawn by order of the Stewards. Before being allowed to race again, GRAND MASTERMIND will be subjected to an official veterinary examination.

He said LUCKY PLANET was standing awkwardly in the starting gates and as a result was slow to begin. He said this resulted in LUCKY PLANET settling further back in the field than intended.

D B McMonagle stated that the horse failed to respond to his riding in the Home Straight and could not offer any explanation for the horse’s performance. 1.

After the running of Race 3, the track classification was officially changed from "Good to Yielding” to "Good”. This change in the opinion of the Stewards should be recorded as being retrospective. As a consequence of this, the official results will show Race 3 being run on a track rated "Good”.

2. Whip Rule Offences – 1 March 2026 Sha Tin Racemeeting

Race 1 (475)
C L Chau (CHARITY TOGETHER) was fined the sum of $10,000 in relation to using his whip in a manner where the hand holding the whip was above shoulder height on two occasions inside the 100 Metres.
Race 8 (482)
M F Poon (HOTT SHOTT) was fined the sum of $5,000 in relation to using his whip on a horse which was clearly out of contention.
