He stated when WORLD HERO improved to his outside he was content to allow that runner to cross but when RAGGA BOMB raced a little keenly this resulted in the horse holding the lead. He added entering the Back Straight he applied further restraint to his mount to reduce the pace of the event, however, in retrospect he agreed with the Stewards that he had steadied the pace too quickly which resulted in a number of runners positioned behind him sustaining interference. Apprentice Wong was advised that in similar circumstances he must ensure that when he attempts to reduce the pace of a race he must not do so too quickly to avoid causing interference to other runners. A veterinary inspection immediately following the race did not show any significant findings. |

He said when LEAN MASTER continued to hold its position to his inside entering the Back Straight he elected to allow WINNING MONEY to stride forward to cross that runner as he was of the opinion had he endeavoured to restrain his mount it would have commenced to race keenly and also as it has a tendency to hang out in its races. He added as a consequence throughout the middle stages WINNING MONEY set a faster pace than he would have liked.
