7 3 MATSU VICTOR (H472) 1 C Y Ho For some distance after the 800 Metres raced keenly and was steadied away from ON THE LASH.
12 4 SPECIAL HEDGE (H354) 2 C L Chau (-2) Approaching the 700 Metres was steadied away from MATSU VICTOR. C L Chau stated that he was unable to improve in the middle stages when racing behind MATSU VICTOR. He said after entering the Home Straight SPECIAL HEDGE was held up behind MATSU VICTOR for some distance but then when placed under pressure did not finish the race off. A veterinary inspection immediately following the race found that horse to be a "roarer” which had previously been reported.
4 5 FAMILY FORTUNE (H447) 14 J Moreira From the outside barrier was shifted across behind runners in the early stages. Near the 900 Metres raced tight to the inside of HAILTOTHEVICTORS.
1 6 ON THE LASH (J182) 3 H Y Yuen (-10) When questioned regarding the improved performance Trainer P C Ng stated that the horse was disadvantaged at its last start on the All Weather surface when it settled further back in the field than intended and was also obliged to race wide and without cover for the majority of the event He said today ON THE LASH was advantaged by being able to obtain the lead and dictate at a pace inside of standard time. Sent for sampling post-race.
3 7 SUPER HONG KONG (D241) 9 K C Leung From after the 1000 Metres was obliged to race very wide and without cover and as a result was ridden forward near the 800 Metres.

2 10 ROSEWOOD FLEETFOOT (J524) 6 K Teetan Despite being ridden along in the early stages failed to show sufficient pace to hold a more forward position. Sent for sampling post-race.
5 11 SMART BEAUTY (G477) 8 Y L Chung (-2) Jumped only fairly. Near the 1400 Metres shifted in and made contact with the running rail. When the pace steadied near the 900 Metres raced keenly and as a result was steadied to avoid PERFECT PAIRING. A short distance later SMART BEAUTY then became unbalanced when FAMILY FORTUNE was taken in by HAILTOTHEVICTORS which was racing tight to the inside of SUPER HONG KONG. Approaching the 600 Metres was steadied when unable to improve to the inside of PERFECT PAIRING.
14 12 RUN YES RUN (J264) 10 M L Yeung M L Yeung reported that his mount failed to run out a strong 1800 Metres. A veterinary inspection immediately following the race found that horse to be a "roarer”.
13 13 GOLD TACK (H106) 12 P N Wong (-7) When questioned Apprentice P N Wong stated that her instructions were to go forward. She said in the early stages when positioned to the outside of ALL ARE MINE she was anticipating that horse to shift to the rail which would allow her mount to obtain a position with cover. She said when MATSU VICTOR held its position to the inside of ALL ARE MINE in the early stages she was obliged to race wide and without cover for the remainder of the event. When questioned if there was an opportunity to go forward and cross RUN YES RUN having regard to the middle stages being run outside of standard time Apprentice Wong stated that she was reluctant to urge her mount forward as she did not feel it was travelling well enough and that when she realised she was not able to get cover it was getting close to the field turning out of the Back Straight.
9 14 CHATEAU LE PECHE (H471) 7 M Chadwick Near the 800 Metres was steadied away from SPECIAL HEDGE when racing tight to the inside of HAILTOTHEVICTORS.

10 1 RUN RUN SUNRISE (K552) 6 H Y Yuen (-10) Jumped only fairly and then was crowded between ZOUPER FELLOW and HERO RISING which shifted in. Apprentice H Y Yuen stated that after being held up between the 250 Metres and the 150 Metres behind ZOUPER FELLOW her mount then did not finish the race off when placed under pressure thereafter. A veterinary inspection immediately following the race did not show any significant findings.
4 2 MABUBU (K586) 4 J Orman Bumped shortly after the start. After travelling a short distance was then eased to avoid ZOUPER FELLOW which shifted in slightly.
12 3 CLOUD NINE (L050) 10 L Ferraris L Ferraris could offer no explanation for the horse’s disappointing performance. Trainer M Newnham advised the horse had pleased him since its last start. He said CLOUD NINE may not have appreciated backing up within a 11-day period and he would now look to space the horse’s runs in future. A veterinary inspection immediately following the race did not show any significant findings. The performance of CLOUD NINE was considered disappointing as compared to its previous race starts. Before being allowed to race again, CLOUD NINE will be required to perform to the satisfaction of the Stewards in a barrier trial and be subjected to an official veterinary examination.

14 6 FLOWING (K556) 12 Y L Chung (-2) Jumped only fairly and then was bumped shortly after the start. Y L Chung stated that his mount, which was having its first race start, raced greenly and failed to stretch out during the event. A veterinary inspection immediately following the race did not show any significant findings. The performance of FLOWING, which finished tailed out, was considered unacceptable. Before being allowed to race again, FLOWING will be required to perform to the satisfaction of the Stewards in a barrier trial and be subjected to an official veterinary examination.

She said her mount failed to show sufficient pace to do so and did not travel well throughout the event which she attributed to the "Good to Yielding” track conditions. A veterinary inspection immediately following the race found that horse to be a "roarer” which had previously been reported.
1 3 ENJOY GOLF (J222) 11 H Bentley Trainer F C Lor stated the instructions were to go forward but not necessarily lead. He said when ENJOY GOLF jumped well today it was able to lead the event and race in a more forward position than what he had expected. Sent for sampling post-race.
5 4 MAJESTIC DELIGHT (K189) 6 H Bowman On jumping made contact with the right side of the starting gate and as a result lost ground.

10 8 DASH (K250) 12 E Brown Jumped awkwardly. Over the concluding stages could not be ridden out when racing tight between TRIUMPHANT WARRIOR and MAJESTIC DELIGHT which shifted out.
8 9 TRIUMPHANT WARRIOR (H430) 10 H Y Yuen (-10) Apprentice H Y Yuen stated that she was obliged to make use of the horse in the early stages to cross to race outside the lead. She said with the early stages of the event being run slightly outside of standard time TRIUMPHANT WARRIOR weakened in the Home Straight. Trainer J Richards agreed with the views of Apprentice Yuen and also stated that, in his opinion, the horse may be feeling the effects of recent racing. He added that as a result he would now give the horse a let-up before its next race start. A veterinary inspection immediately following the race did not show any significant findings. Sent for sampling post-race.

2 11 DOUBLE BINGO (J309) 5 A Atzeni Briefly held up for clear running on the Home Turn. Sent for sampling post-race.
12 12 TURF PHOENIX (J294) 8 M L Yeung Near the 1000 Metres was steadied to avoid BLUE BARON which shifted in and away from TRIUMPHANT WARRIOR despite the efforts of its rider. Raced wide and without cover for the majority of the event. M L Yeung stated that his mount hung out during the race and failed to run on in the Home Straight. A veterinary inspection immediately following the race did not show any significant findings.

4 1 PAPAYA BROSE (L264) 4 J Moreira On jumping became unbalanced when crowded between NAVAS G and MIGHTY FIGHTER which shifted out slightly. Held up for clear running between the 450 Metres and the 350 Metres. Sent for sampling post-race.
8 2 A TIME FOR US (K475) 9 C Y Ho When questioned C Y Ho stated that his mount was not comfortable on the "Good to Yielding” track conditions and as a result he was obliged to ride his mount along throughout the event to maintain its position. He said over the final 200 Metres when he was concerned that his horse was not stretching out fully on the track he then did not ride it out to the finish. C Y Ho was advised, wherever possible, he should endeavour to ride his mounts out to ensure they obtain the best possible placing in the field.
11 3 MASSIVE REWARD (L331) 6 E Brown Shifted in on jumping and made contact with NAVAS G. Raced wide and without cover for the majority of the event.
6 4 NAVAS G (L194) 5 H Y Yuen (-10) On jumping was severely checked when crowded between PAPAYA BROSE which was taken out by MIGHTY FIGHTER and MASSIVE REWARD (E Brown) which jumped awkwardly and shifted in. E Brown was advised in similar circumstance he would be expected to make a greater effort to straighten his mounts. Apprentice H Y Yuen stated that the instructions were to go forward and endeavour to lead. She said due to the interference her mount received at the start it settled back in the field. A veterinary inspection immediately following the race did not show any significant findings.
5 5 OLDTOWN (K105) 10 J Orman When questioned regarding his riding on the Home Turn and the reason he shifted to the inside to follow PAPAYA BROSE J Orman stated that his instructions were to settle his horse behind midfield where it was comfortable. He said he was also instructed to make runs to the inside as connections were of the view this was an advantageous position to obtain on the track. He said making the Home Turn when positioned behind MIGHTY FIGHTER he elected to allow OLDTOWN to shift to the rail to follow the favourite PAPAYA BROSE in accordance with his instructions. He added when PAPAYA BROSE was unable to improve he was then briefly held up for clear running before obtaining a run between PAPAYA BROSE and MIGHTY FIGHTER approaching the 400 Metres after which OLDTOWN finished the race off well. Trainer M Newnham confirmed the instructions issued.

9 7 LIGHTNESS OF BEING (K159) 8 Y L Chung (-2) Y L Chung stated that when a number of runners to his inside were crowded at the start LIGHTNESS OF BEING was able to hold a more forward position than had been intended.
3 8 MIGHTY FIGHTER (L132) 3 H Bowman Shifted out at the start, was bumped on the hindquarters and became unbalanced.
10 9 AMO ERGO SUM (K394) 2 B Avdulla Shortly after the start was crowded by VIVA BOSS which sifted out despite the efforts of its rider.

1 11 LITTLE MONSTER (K391) 11 K C Leung Lay out under pressure in the Home Straight, resulting in its rider K C Leung having to straighten his mount approaching the winning post. Sent for sampling post-race.
12 12 VIVA BOSS (L139) 1 P N Wong (-7) Shifted out on jumping, resulting in its rider Apprentice P N Wong having to correct her mount. When commencing to give ground near the 350 Metres lay in and away from LIGHTNESS OF BEING and became unbalanced when positioned close to the running rail.

6 12 HONORARY (K481) 9 A Badel Held up making the Home Turn and near the 450 Metres blundered. A Badel stated that his mount bounded on jumping and lost ground which resulted in HONORARY racing further back in the field than intended.

9 1 SAVVY BRILLIANT (J437) 8 Z Purton On jumping was crowded between CHICKEN DINNER and THUNDER KIT. Near the 200 Metres endeavoured to obtain a narrow run between LIFELINE EXPRESS and PEGAS. When PEGAS gave ground quickly and LIFELINE EXPRESS then shifted in slightly when obtaining a run to the inside of MEGASTAR HEART, SAVVY BRILLIANT then made contact with the hindquarters of LIFELINE EXPRESS which resulted in LIFELINE EXPRESS shifting in and SAVVY BRILLIANT having to be severely checked when disappointed for clear running between PEGAS and LIFELINE EXPRESS. A veterinary inspection immediately following the race did not show any significant findings.

5 3 LIFELINE EXPRESS (H439) 2 A Atzeni Near the 200 Metres was bumped on the hindquarters by SAVVY BRILLIANT, resulting in LIFELINE EXPRESS becoming unbalanced.

12 5 BIENVENUE (J490) 12 H Bentley A veterinary inspection immediately following the race found that horse to have bled from both nostrils. As this was the second occasion that BIENVENUE had bled, the horse is ineligible to run in any race conducted by the Club in the future.

7 7 PEGAS (L075) 10 H Y Yuen (-10) Apprentice H Y Yuen stated that she had to make some use of the horse in the early stages to lead and as a result PEGAS was not able to finish the race off in the Home Straight.

6 9 GLORIOUS DYNASTY (L315) 5 L Hewitson Shortly after the start was steadied when crowded between IRON SECURITY and KING EQUINE which was taken out by CELESTIAL HERO.

10 12 IRON SECURITY (L174) 6 M F Poon On jumping shifted out and made contact with THUNDER KIT. After being crossed by MEGASTAR HEART near the 800 Metres commenced to race keenly and hung out when positioned close to MEGASTAR HEART.

After the running of Race 6, the track classification was officially changed from "Good to Yielding” to "Yielding”. This change in the opinion of the Stewards should be recorded as being retrospective. As a consequence of this, the official results will show Race 6 being run on a track rated "Yielding”.

AMAZING KID – Passing the 50 Metres was steadied to avoid AURIO (Z Purton) which shifted out when not clear. Z Purton was reprimanded.

Racing Laboratory tests of MEEPMEEP, GO GO GO, ORIENTAL SURPRISE, ROBOT KNIGHT, VIVA CHALEUR, MEGA CAPTAIN, JUICY DRAGON, ENTHRALLED, YODA’S CHOICE, FIREFOOT, TOURBILLON GOLFER, ONE MAN SHOW, CALIFORNIA BAY, CHILL KAKA, BULL ATTITUDE, NIGHT PUROSANGUE, NOTTHESILLYONE, HAPPY SHOOTER, SKY VINO, GLITTERING LEGEND, VICTORY SKY and BLAZING WIND (6.5.26) proved negative.
