9 8 TEAM HAPPY (J218) 8 M Guyon Bumped on jumping. Near the 1000 Metres made contact with MAJESTIC DELIGHT due to both runners shifting ground. M Guyon reported that when caught wide in the early stages he was obliged to steady his mount to obtain a trailing position behind THE WAY WE WIN near the 1000 Metres which resulted in TEAM HAPPY settling further back than what he had intended. He added in the Home Straight TEAM HAPPY did not respond to his riding and, in his opinion, may be better suited by being stepped up in distance for its next race start. A veterinary inspection immediately following the race did not show any significant findings.
12 9 YOU'REMYEVERYTHING (E413) 3 H T Mo (-2) On jumping was bumped by THE WAY WE WIN which shifted in.
8 10 THE WAY WE WIN (J493) 4 M L Yeung Shifted in at the start and was bumped.
10 11 EURO ROCKS (H153) 6 K Teetan Passing the 1000 Metres was steadied to avoid TEAM HAPPY when that runner was steadied to obtain cover.

As a result HONORARY was shifted to the inside of HAPPY ALLIANCE and MONEY TYCOON where it obtained clear running near the 200 Metres. K C Leung reported that after jumping awkwardly and losing ground he was obliged to settle behind midfield and further back than what had been intended. He added HONORARY raced greenly throughout the event. A veterinary inspection immediately following the race did not show any significant findings.

8 11 AUTUMN VIBES (K150) 3 M Guyon Approaching the 1100 Metres was crowded for room between WARRIORS DREAM and MONEY TYCOON which lay out before being corrected by its rider M L Yeung. Near the 350 Metres was checked when disappointed for clear running between MONEY TYCOON and HAPPY ALLIANCE. AUTUMN VIBES was then shifted to the inside of MONEY TYCOON to obtain clear running near the 300 Metres. M Guyon reported that his instructions were to lead. He said his mount jumped only fairly and then was bumped by HONORARY which shifted in. He added after being crowded approaching the 1100 Metres this resulted in AUTUMN VIBES settling further back than intended. A veterinary inspection immediately following the race did not show any significant findings.

Race:3 (336) WU KAI SHA HANDICAP (Sec1) Class 4 1200 m

3 1 EVER LUCK (K235) 3 J Orman Bumped near the 1100 Metres. Near the 950 Metres was steadied when racing tight to the inside of ELITE GOLF which lay in and away from HAPPY SHOOTER. When questioned J Orman stated that his instructions were to lead the event but when his mount jumped only fairly he was obliged to make some use of it in the early stages to hold an on-pace position. He said when ELITE GOLF was positioned to his outside he elected to allow that runner to cross rather than continuing to make use of his mount to hold a more forward position. He said after being crossed by ELITE GOLF, EVER LUCK raced keenly for some distance near the 900 Metres but on entering the Home Straight he felt the horse was in a position to win the event. He added that when placed under pressure in the Home Straight EVER LUCK responded reasonably well to his riding, however, was unable to pass the winner ELITE GOLF which he thought was due to the horse still being immature and carrying the top weight of 135 lbs. 6 2 CHILL PARTNERS (K484) 11 C L Chau (-2) Shifted in after travelling a short distance, was bumped on the hindquarters and became unbalanced. Raced wide and without cover for the majority of the event.
1 3 ELITE GOLF (L023) 6 H Bentley On jumping was bumped by LUCKY MCQUEEN which shifted out. H Bentley reported that his mount raced greenly and lay in throughout the event and as a consequence in the Home Straight he had difficulty riding the horse out to the finish. Sent for sampling post-race.
10 4 MAJESTIC LIFE (L085) 10 Y L Chung (-2) After travelling a short distance became unbalanced when bumped by CHILL PARTNERS. Between the 300 Metres and the 150 Metres was held up for clear running. Over the concluding stages could not be ridden out when held up between CHILL PARTNERS and LUCKY MCQUEEN.
11 5 AQUAMAN (K523) 8 R Kingscote Jumped only fairly and then was crowded by GROOVY FEELING which shifted out. A veterinary inspection immediately following the race found that horse to be a "roarer” which had previously been reported.
9 6 CONRAD THE GREAT (K217) 4 K C Leung Near the 1100 Metres, when racing keenly, shifted in and bumped EVER LUCK. Approaching the 900 Metres was steadied to avoid EVER LUCK. A veterinary inspection immediately following the race did not show any significant findings.
2 7 HAPPY SHOOTER (J427) 12 L Hewitson L Hewitson stated that from the outside barrier the instructions were to ensure that the horse jumped well as it has a tendency to be slow to begin. He said when HAPPY SHOOTER commenced well he was able to lead the event. Trainer C S Shum confirmed the instructions issued. Sent for sampling post-race.

8 9 LUCKY MCQUEEN (K064) 5 M Chadwick Shifted out on jumping and was bumped. Shifted out near the 450 Metres and was bumped. M Chadwick stated that when caught wide to the outside of CONRAD THE GREAT in the early stages he was obliged to steady his mount to obtain cover behind CONRAD THE GREAT to avoid racing wide. He said as a consequence his mount settled further back in the field than what had been intended and found it difficult to make up ground in the Home Straight, which he attributed to the early and middle stages of the event being run outside of standard time. A veterinary inspection immediately following the race did not show any significant findings.
5 10 CIRRUS SPEED (K279) 1 M F Poon Jumped only fairly. Making the turn after the 900 Metres shifted out and got its head up when being steadied to avoid KA YING WARRIOR.
12 11 GROOVY FEELING (J515) 7 M L Yeung Near the 450 Metres was bumped and taken wider by LUCKY MCQUEEN.
7 12 POWER SUMMIT (K044) 9 D Probert After travelling a short distance became unbalanced when crowded between AQUAMAN and MAJESTIC LIFE which raced tight to the inside of CHILL PARTNERS. Near the 500 Metres became unbalanced when being steadied away from CIRRUS SPEED.

Sent for sampling post-race.
14 2 SUPER LOVE (K118) 13 H Bowman H Bowman stated his instructions were to take up an on-pace position if his mount jumped well but not to make use of it as SUPER LOVE does not finish its races off when being ridden in this manner. He said when SUPER LOVE jumped well today he felt he would be able to cross THE HEIR but when THE HEIR held its position to his inside he was obliged to race very wide and without cover thereafter as he was of the opinion he would have had to ride contrary to his instructions to make use of SUPER LOVE in the early stated to cross that runner. He added due to racing very wide his mount did not finish the race off in the Home Straight. A veterinary inspection immediately following the race did not show any significant findings.

M Guyon reported that from the outside barrier he was instructed to ride the horse in a conservative manner in the early stages. He added, in his view, the horse did not appreciate the step-up to Class 4 today. A veterinary inspection immediately following the race did not show any significant findings.

ROMAN CROWN (J456) M Guyon Withdrawn on 10.1.26 by order of the Stewards acting on veterinary advice (irregular heart rhythm) and replaced by Standby Declared Starter APOLAR FIGHTER. Before being allowed to race again, ROMAN CROWN will be required to perform satisfactorily in a barrier trial and be subjected to an official veterinary examination.

A veterinary inspection immediately following the race found that horse to have bled from both nostrils. Before being allowed to race again, LUCK IS BACK will be required to perform satisfactorily in a barrier trial and be subjected to an official veterinary examination.

A veterinary inspection immediately following the race which included an endoscopic examination showed a substantial amount of blood in the horse’s trachea. Before being allowed to race again, PACKING HURRICANE will be subjected to an official veterinary examination.

6 8 SUPER GOLDENDRAGON (K458) 8 K C Leung Jumped only fairly. Approaching the 1400 Metres was steadied when crowded. Held up for clear running between the 450 Metres and the 350 Metres and when placed under pressure thereafter lay in.
13 9 YIU CHEUNG VICTORY (J529) 9 A Badel A Badel stated that, in his opinion, the horse was disadvantaged by the early and middle stages of the race being run inside of standard time. A veterinary inspection immediately following the race did not show any significant findings.
3 10 VOLCANIC SPARK (H388) 4 M Guyon Jumped only fairly. R Kingscote (LUCK IS BACK) pleaded guilty to a charge of careless riding [Rule 100(1)] in that near the 1400 Metres he allowed his mount to shift in when insufficiently clear of VOLCANIC SPARK, resulting in VOLCANIC SPARK having to be checked. R Kingscote was suspended from riding in races for one Hong Kong raceday to be conducted on Wednesday, 28 January 2026 at Happy Valley. In assessing penalty, the Stewards determined the carelessness grade 2 and the consequences grade 2 and also considered his excellent race riding record.
14 11 FLOOF (H432) 10 K Teetan Raced wide and without cover for the majority of the event. The performance of FLOOF, which finished tailed out, was considered unacceptable. Before being allowed to race again, FLOOF will be required to perform to the satisfaction of the Stewards in a barrier trial and be subjected to an official veterinary examination.

He said once OUR LUCKY GLORY jumped well it raced keenly in the early stages and this resulted in him allowing the horse to improve to the front.
9 14 KASA PAPA (G312) 11 A Atzeni Approaching the 1400 Metres was steadied when crowded. Between the 450 Metres and the 250 Metres was held up for clear running. Approaching the 250 Metres was steadied when it improved into a tight run to the inside of SUPER GOLDENDRAGON which lay in under pressure. A Atzeni stated that the intention was to hold a more forward position but after jumping only fairly and being bumped at the start his mount settled further back in the field than intended. A veterinary inspection immediately following the race did not show any significant findings.

1 7 YOUNG EMPEROR (K011) 11 L Ferraris From a wide barrier was shifted across behind runners in the early stages. Between the 400 Metres and the 350 Metres was held up for clear running. Near the 50 Metres was directed to the outside of CHILL BUDDY to continue into clear running. When questioned regarding the improved performance Trainer D Eustace stated that the horse had returned from surgery to its left knee this season and had taken some time to develop its fitness. He said he had persevered in racing the horse at Happy Valley as YOUNG EMPEROR had won at that course previously but at its last start over 1650 Metres was disadvantaged when racing wide and without cover and as a result did not run out the distance of that race. He added today YOUNG EMPEROR was advantaged by being freshened up since its last start and also seemed to appreciate racing on the Sha Tin track at its first start. Sent for sampling post-race.
8 8 PRESTIGE ALWAYS (J300) 8 L Hewitson Over the final 50 Metres could not be ridden out when held up between ARMOUR WAR EAGLE and AURORA PATCH. Raced wide and without cover for the majority of the event.

He said when caught wide in the early stages he elected to allow CHILL BUDDY to stride forward and lead when there was no opportunity to obtain cover. Sent for sampling post-race.

6 2 HEALTHY HAPPY (D435) 9 C L Chau (-2) When questioned regarding his riding in the middle stages and as to whether there was an opportunity to hold his position one off the fence behind BEAUTY CRESCENT, C L Chau stated that when BEAUTY CRESCENT commenced to race keenly approaching the 800 Metres he elected to shift out slightly to give his horse sufficient clearance from the runner in front. He said as he shifted out LITTLE PARADISE was then able to take advantage of that position and commenced a forward move which he was unable to prevent due to his positioning on the track.
8 3 INVINCIBLE SHIELD (K168) 6 C Y Ho A veterinary inspection immediately following the race did not show any significant findings.
12 4 DANCING CODE (G365) 14 E C W Wong (-5) Apprentice E C W Wong stated that from the outside barrier he had to make too much use of his mount in the early stages to lead and as a consequence DANCING CODE was unable to finish the race off in the Home Straight. A veterinary inspection immediately following the race did not show any significant findings.
10 5 DROMBEG BANNER (H117) 8 M Guyon Shortly after the start was checked when crowded between MID WINTER WIND which shifted out and HEALTHY HAPPY which was taken in by INFINITE RESOLVE when that runner was taken in by SKY TRUST (H Bowman). H Bowman was advised to exercise more care.

14 7 MARKWIN (J420) 1 H T Mo (-2) Jumped only fairly. Near the 900 Metres was crowded by BEAUTY CRESCENT. Noted to have bled from both nostrils after the race. As this was the second occasion that MARKWIN had bled, the horse is permanently barred from any further racing.

A short distance later YOUNG CHAMPION was steadied to avoid DANCING CODE (Apprentice E C W Wong) which shifted in when not clear. Apprentice Wong was severely reprimanded. M L Yeung stated that the instructions were to hold a midfield position, however, when YOUNG CHAMPION raced keenly in the early stages it held a more forward position than had been intended despite his efforts to restrain the horse to comply with his instructions. A veterinary inspection immediately following the race did not show any significant findings.

13 1 JOY OF SPRING (H383) 2 E C W Wong (-5) Apprentice E C W Wong could offer no explanation for his mount’s failure to finish the race off in the Home Straight. Trainer C Fownes stated that the horse had pleased him since its last start win on 3 December 2025 and had trialed in a satisfactory manner on 30 December 2025. He said he could offer no explanation for its performance and indicated that the horse would be given a let-up before racing again. A veterinary inspection immediately following the race did not show any significant findings.
2 2 STUNNING PEACH (J301) 9 H Bowman Bumped on jumping. Sent for sampling post-race.
5 3 PRESTIGE GOOD (K131) 13 C L Chau (-2) When questioned C L Chau stated that his instructions were to endeavour to hold a forward position but indicated to connections that due to the expected strong pace of the event it may be difficult to comply with those instructions. He said he was also given the option of making a move during the middle stages of the race to allow the horse to hold an on-pace position, particularly as PRESTIGE GOOD races in a one-paced manner. He said after settling behind midfield in the early stages he then after the 1400 Metres encouraged PRESTIGE GOOD to improve into the event which resulted in the horse obtaining a position outside the lead near the 900 Metres. When questioned if there was an opportunity to attempt to hold a trailing position behind MONDIAL or THE AUSPICIOUShaving regard to the early and middle sectionals of the race being run inside of standard time, C L Chau stated that, in his view, this would be contrary to the instructions he had been issued. Trainer P F Yiu confirmed the instructions issued and expressed satisfaction with the manner in which Jockey Chau had ridden the horse. After considering his explanation, the Stewards advised Jockey Chau that having regard to the quick early and middle stages of the race he would have better suited by attempting to obtain a position with cover, however, they found the tactics he adopted were not unreasonable in the circumstances.

10 5 LIVEANDLETLIVE (K156) 11 M Chadwick Noted to have blood in the mouth on arrival at the Start, was examined by the Veterinary Officer and passed suitable to race. M Chadwick reported that his mount was disadvantaged by being pressured in the lead in the middle stages by PRESTIGE GOOD and as a result gave ground in the Home Straight. A veterinary inspection immediately following the race did not show any significant findings.
14 6 MONDIAL (K206) 10 J Orman Made contact with a rail entering the track, was examined by the Veterinary Officer on arrival at the Start and passed suitable to race. Bumped on jumping. Raced wide and without cover for the majority of the event. A veterinary inspection immediately following the race found that horse to have blood in the mouth.
11 7 MISTER DAPPER (H376) 4 B Avdulla B Avdulla stated that whilst his mount was able to hold an on-pace position, due to the early and middle stages of the race being run inside of standard time, it travelled only fairly during the middle stages. He added under pressure in the Home Straight MISTER DAPPER did not respond to his riding which he attributed to the quick early and middle sectionals of the race. A veterinary inspection immediately following the race did not show any significant findings.
9 8 ROMANTIC THOR (K012) 12 L Ferraris L Ferraris stated that from a wide barrier he was instructed to go forward.
6 9 FORTUNE BOY (K098) 3 Z Purton Jumped awkwardly. Z Purton reported that he had some concerns with his mount’s action when under pressure in the Home Straight. A veterinary inspection immediately following the race did not show any significant findings. Sent for sampling post-race.
3 10 THE AUSPICIOUS (K004) 6 M Guyon Shortly after the start was steadied when crowded between EXCELLENCE VALUE which was taken out slightly by MISTER DAPPER and PACKING FIGHTER which was taken in by LIVEANDLETLIVE (M Chadwick). M Chadwick was reprimanded.
7 11 ENTHRALLED (K252) 14 A Atzeni From the outside barrier was shifted across behind runners in the early stages. Leaving the 150 Metres was shifted to the outside of LIVEANDLETLIVE to continue into clear running.

12 4 NATURAL NUMBERS (L166) 9 J Orman Near the 350 Metres was bumped on the hindquarters and became unbalanced when FIT FOR BEAUTY improved into a narrow run between URANUS STAR and NATURAL NUMBERS. J Orman stated that from a wide barrier he was instructed to hold an on-pace position but not to lead. He said when caught wide in the early stages and with blinkers being reapplied for the second occasion NATURAL NUMBERS held a position outside the lead without having to be made use of to do so.

10 6 URANUS STAR (K511) 4 L Ferraris L Ferraris stated that after holding the lead in the early stages his mount commenced to race keenly when pressured in the lead by NATURAL NUMBERS. He said as a consequence this resulted in the early stages being run inside of standard time and the horse not being able to finish the race off in the Home Straight. A veterinary inspection immediately following the race did not show any significant findings.
14 7 HOTT SHOTT (L147) 5 M F Poon Jumped only fairly. The performance of HOTT SHOTT, which finished tailed out, was considered unacceptable. Before being allowed to race again, HOTT SHOTT will be required to perform to the satisfaction of the Stewards in a barrier trial and be subjected to an official veterinary examination. A veterinary inspection immediately following the race did not show any significant findings.

He said when CHEAHA shifted out near the 800 Metres CIRCUIT GRAND SLAM was obliged to race very wide and without cover thereafter which resulted in it not being able to run on in the Home Straight. A veterinary inspection immediately following the race did not show any significant findings.
5 2 HELENE SUPAFEELING (L028) 8 H Bowman Jumped awkwardly. In the middle stages raced keenly and near the 1100 Metres got its head up when being checked away from LUCKY SAM GOR.
7 3 AKASHVANI (K234) 13 L Hewitson L Hewitson stated that he was given the option of holding a forward position if his mount commenced well. He said when AKASHVANI made contact with the right side of its starting gate on jumping and as a consequence jumped only fairly he elected to ride the horse in a conservative manner in the early stages.
14 4 MASTER OF ALL (H177) 9 M L Yeung M L Yeung reported that his mount travelled comfortably in the lead but failed to respond to his riding when placed under pressure in the Home Straight. A veterinary inspection immediately following the race did not show any significant findings.

After the 100 Metres TIN FOOK endeavoured to improve into a narrow run to the inside of BLAZING WUKONG and was then checked when crowded by BLAZING WUKONG which shifted in after its rider A Atzeni corrected his mount to prevent interference to IVY LEAGUE. A Atzeni was advised to exercise more care in similar circumstances.

He said when the horse began well he was able to hold a more forward position than anticipated. Sent for sampling post-race.
4 14 BLAZING WUKONG (K335) 7 A Atzeni Between the 400 Metres and the 250 Metres had difficulty obtaining clear running. Leaving the 250 Metres was shifted to the outside of MIGHTY STEED to obtain clear running. Near the 100 Metres was disappointed for clear running to the outside of LUCKY SAM GOR and as a result was shifted in in an attempt to obtain clear running but was then steadied to avoid causing interference to TIN FOOK. As a result BLAZING WUKONG did not obtain clear running until approaching the 50 Metres. Sent for sampling post-race.
