Raced wide and without cover for the majority of the event. Apprentice H Y Yuen stated that in the Home Straight her mount failed to respond and was disappointing. A veterinary inspection immediately following the race did not show any significant findings.
5 6 MULTISUPERSTAR (L163) 8 A Badel Near the 900 Metres was steadied to avoid LIGHTNING ACE. Over the concluding stages lay out towards SUPERB GUY and as a result could not be fully ridden out. A Badel stated that his mount jumped well today and settled more forward than he had anticipated.
4 7 PERIDOT (K148) 13 J Orman From a wide barrier was shifted across behind runners in the early stages. Near the 250 Metres was steadied and shifted to the outside of THE CONCENTRATION to continue into clear running.

13 14 EXCEED THE WISH (J480) 4 A Atzeni On jumping became unbalanced when crowded onto SEA DIAMOND. Near the 950 Metres was steadied when momentarily crowded between YOUNG FIGHTER and MANYTHANKS FOREVER which shifted in when racing tight to the inside of THE CONCENTRATION. A Atzeni could not offer any explanation for the horse’s performance. A veterinary inspection immediately following the race did not show any significant findings.

K Teetan stated that when pressured in the lead by RUBY THRIVE his mount came under pressure from the 300 Metres. He said from this point onwards LOOKING BRIGHT failed to respond to his riding and raced in a disappointing manner. Trainer F C Lor advised that the horse had pleased him coming into the race and stated that, in his opinion, LOOKING BRIGHT was not suited by being pressured in the lead by RUBY THRIVE as the horse had previously raced disappointingly in similar circumstances. A veterinary inspection immediately following the race did not show any significant findings.

11 13 SUPREME VOYAGER (L043) 3 H Bentley When questioned H Bentley stated that in the early stages his mount raced keenly. He said after the 800 Metres when racing in restricted room between HERO MASTERMIND and THUNDER PRINCE he elected to not contest that position when racing tight to the outside of THUNDER PRINCE. He said the main reason why he did not contest the position was that he was of the opinion had he done so this would result in SUPREME VOYAGER racing too keenly and for this reason he elected to obtain a trailing position behind HERO MASTERMIND. He added that throughout the middle stages SUPREME VOYAGER continued to race keenly, however, over the final 300 Metres was badly held up for clear running and could not be tested to the finish of the event. B Avdulla, rider of THUNDER PRINCE, was advised to ensure that he leaves comfortable racing room for other runners when shifting ground.

14 2 GLORIOUS RYDER (K290) 13 L Ferraris From a wide barrier was shifted across behind runners in the early stages. The performance of GLORIOUS RYDER, which finished tailed out, was considered unacceptable. Before being allowed to race again, GLORIOUS RYDER will be required to perform to the satisfaction of the Stewards in a barrier trial and be subjected to an official veterinary examination. A veterinary inspection immediately following the race did not show any significant findings.
5 3 DOUBLE BINGO (J309) 14 H Y Yuen (-10) When questioned Apprentice H Y Yuen stated that from the outside barrier she was instructed to ride the horse in a conservative manner in the early stages and had expected to settle at the back of the field. She said with the early and middle stages being run inside of standard time DOUBLE BINGO settled further back than what she had anticipated, particularly when it also raced ungenerously and lay out. She said in the Home Straight she commenced to shift to the outside of SILVER UP but her mount was reluctant to do so and as a result she was placed at some disadvantage in riding DOUBLE BINGO out as she was required to make a greater effort to encourage her mount to improve to the outside of SILVER UP. She added that after obtaining clear running near the 200 Metres DOUBLE BINGO ran on well. Trainer P F Yiu confirmed the instructions issued, however, stated that the horse settled further back in the field than what he had intended.

11 7 LUCKY DOCTOR (L225) 3 L Ferraris L Ferraris reported that his mount did not appreciate the "Good to Firm” track conditions. A veterinary inspection immediately following the race did not show any significant findings.
14 8 SPEEDY PATCH (L104) 12 C Y Ho Bounded on jumping and lost ground. Throughout the middle stages raced ungenerously and near the 900 Metres was steadied to avoid MIGHTY FIGHTER. Near the 650 Metres shifted out and made contact with CHARMING LEGEND. C Y Ho reported that when he was not satisfied with the horse’s action in the Home Straight he did not ride it out to the finish of the event. 12 5 OLDTOWN (K105) 13 A Atzeni Approaching the 1000 Metres shifted out when being steadied to avoid VIEW ALL THINGS. Near the 750 Metres commenced to race keenly and was steadied away from BETTER AND BETTER. A Atzeni stated that he was obliged to settle back in the field from a wide barrier. He said from that position OLDTOWN found it difficult to make up ground in the Home Straight. A veterinary inspection immediately following the race did not show any significant findings.

Trainer P C Ng stated that he had expected the horse to race in a more forward position and was disadvantaged by the manner in which it raced throughout the early and middle stages. After being crossed by HERO RISING near the 600 Metres was then shifted to the outside of HERO RISING and made contact with MEGA MASTERMIND. K Teetan reported that his mount did not appreciate the "Good to Firm” track conditions. Trainer C H Yip advised that he had expected TOP TO SKY to lead the event and, in his opinion, was disadvantaged when HERO RISING and MEGA MASTERMIND pressured the horse in the lead. He also confirmed that Jockey Teetan had indicated that the horse did not appreciate the "Good to Firm” track conditions. A veterinary inspection immediately following the race did not show any significant findings. The performance of TOP TO SKY, a last start winner, was considered disappointing. Before being allowed to race again, TOP TO SKY will be required to perform to the satisfaction of the Stewards in a barrier trial and be subjected to an official veterinary examination.

A Badel (SOLID STATE) pleaded guilty to a charge of careless riding [Rule 100(1)] in that near the 750 Metres he allowed his mount to shift in when not clear of STRAIGHT TO GLORY, resulting in STRAIGHT TO GLORY having to be checked. A Badel was suspended from riding in races for a period to commence on Wednesday, 23 September 2026 and to expire on Monday, 28 September 2026 on which day he may resume race riding (2 Hong Kong racedays). In assessing penalty, the Stewards determined the carelessness grade 2 and the consequences grade 2 and also considered his good race riding record.

4 6 METRO POWER (K408) 9 L Hewitson On jumping was bumped by MICKLEY. As a result METRO POWER shifted out and made contact with ALPHA STRIKE. Near the 200 Metres was inconvenienced when ALPHA STRIKE hung in. L Hewitson reported that when bumped at the start his mount became unbalanced and as a result lost ground.
8 7 LA FORZA (J285) 3 B Avdulla Shifted out on jumping and made contact with LUCKY CANDY. A veterinary inspection immediately following the race did not show any significant findings.
11 8 MICKLEY (K082) 8 A Atzeni Shifted out at the start and was bumped. Approaching the 100 Metres was eased and shifted to the outside of STRAIGHT TO GLORY to continue into clear running.

6 9 MONEY GAMES (L402) 13 J Orman When questioned J Orman stated that after settling back in the field he commenced a forward move making the Home Turn with the intention of following the favourite in the race NYX GLUCK. He said near the 400 Metres when he observed NYX GLUCK to be held up and experiencing difficulty obtaining clear running he then elected to shift to the inside of FLOW WATER FLOW to obtain clear running. He said after improving to the inside of FLOW WATER FLOW near the 300 Metres MONEY GAMES then became badly held up near the 200 Metres behind RUN RUN SMART and could not be tested until near the 50 Metres. After considering his explanation the Stewards found the tactics adopted by Jockey Orman were reasonable in the circumstances.
