After taking evidence from Jockey Teetan, Trainer Y S Tsui and Starter Mr A Speechley, the Stewards found that just prior to the start being effected TELECOM POWER lifted its front legs from the ground, resulting in TELECOM POWER being slow to begin. After considering the incident and the fact that TELECOM POWER was able to establish a midfield position and taking into account the manner in which the horse finished the race off, the Stewards were satisfied that such occurrence had not materially prejudiced the chances of the horse in the race. On that basis TELECOM POWER was declared a runner. A veterinary inspection immediately following the race did not show any significant findings. |

He said his mount was then further disadvantaged when DRAGON FOUR SEAS placed pressure on him during the middle stages which resulted in COPARTNER FLEET not being able to finish the race off in the Home Straight. A veterinary inspection immediately following the race did not show any significant findings. |
