8 2 EXCEL WONGCHOY (J194) C Y Ho Over the concluding stages raced tight to the inside of HAKKA RADIANCE which was taken in slightly by THESIS. After the event, C Y Ho stated that after initially responding to his riding in the early part of the Home Straight, his mount commenced to give ground passing the 100 Metres and he could offer no explanation for its disappointing performance. Trainer P C Ng could offer no explanation for the disappointing performance of the horse. A veterinary inspection immediately following the race did not show any significant findings. The Stewards considered the performance of EXCEL WONGCHOY to be disappointing as compared to its previous race starts. Before being allowed to race again, EXCEL WONGCHOY will be required to perform to the satisfaction of the Stewards in a barrier trial and be subjected to an official veterinary examination. After the event, L Ferraris reported that his mount jumped awkwardly, made contact with the barriers and then bumped with YEAH BUDDY. He said as a consequence VIVA CHALEUR settled further back than what had been intended.
11 6 ALL ARE MINE (H293) Y L Chung (-3) Bumped shortly after the start. After the event, Y L Chung reported that his mount would derive benefit from tonight’s performance. A veterinary inspection immediately following the race did not show any significant findings.
12 7 JUMBO FORTUNE (G195) J McDonald Approaching the 300 Metres raced tight between ALL ARE MINE and TALE OF PERTH which shifted out. After the event, J McDonald reported that his mount did not appreciate the kickback from the All Weather surface. 5 8 MUST GO (J133) B Avdulla Shortly after the start was bumped. Near the 100 Metres was hampered when taken wider by BEAUTY GLORY (Y L Chung) which shifted out. Y L Chung was reprimanded and advised that he would be expected to stop riding and straighten his mounts sooner than what he did on this occasion. After the event, B Avdulla reported that his mount was inconvenienced when taken wider near the 100 Metres and finished the race off fairly. A veterinary inspection immediately following the race did not show any significant findings.

11 5 APACHE PASS (D433) L Ferraris After the event, L Ferraris confirmed that he was instructed to hold an on-pace position but APACHE PASS was under pressure from the 400 Metres and gave ground in the Home Straight. Trainer D Eustace confirmed the instructions issued. A veterinary inspection immediately following the race did not show any significant findings. <19/12/2024 Additional Veterinary Report>After the race, APACHE PASS was examined by the Veterinary Officer who said at that time there were no significant findings. APACHE PASS was again examined by the Veterinary Officer at the stables of Trainer D Eustace this morning. He said at this time he noted the horse to be lame in its right front leg. Before being allowed to race again, APACHE PASS will be subjected to an official veterinary examination.
10 6 PERFECT TEAM (H120) A Hamelin Jumped only fairly. Approaching the 600 Metres was steadied to avoid LUCK IS BACK. Near the 300 Metres was taken wider by JOLLY RULER. A veterinary inspection immediately following the race did not show any significant findings.

He said with the pace of the event being run slightly outside of standard time in the early stages, YOUNG BRILLIANT was able to cross to the lead and this was the principal reason for its improved performance tonight. 8 10 CAPITAL LEGEND (G333) A Badel Raced keenly in the early stages. Approaching the 300 Metres was shifted to the outside of LESLIE to obtain clear running and made contact with YELLOWFIN. Approaching the 100 Metres was eased to avoid LESLIE (Apprentice P N Wong) which shifted out. Apprentice Wong was advised to exercise more care.
5 11 LESLIE (E471) P N Wong (-10) Raced wide and without cover for the majority of the event. When questioned, Apprentice P N Wong stated that her instructions were to settle her mount where comfortable. She said LESLIE began well tonight and as a result she elected to take advantage of the good start and raced in a more forward position than LESLIE’S previous race starts.

Near the 300 Metres had difficulty obtaining clear running when being shifted to the outside of YELLOWFIN as YELLOWFIN shifted out slightly. After the event, H Bentley advised that from a wide barrier he was instructed to ride his mount in a conservative manner in the early stages.
WV BERLIN TANGO (E120) B Avdulla Withdrawn on 17.12.24 by order of the Stewards acting on veterinary advice (left front tendon injury) and replaced by Standby Declared Starter YELLOWFIN. Before being allowed to race again, BERLIN TANGO will be subjected to an official veterinary examination.
