C L Chau reported that his mount would be advantaged by being stepped up in distance for its next race start. 7 7 MACANESE MASTER (J532) 10 K Teetan K Teetan reported that he was obliged to make use of the horse in the early stages to go forward. He said MACANESE MASTER raced wide and without cover for the majority of the event when unable to cross runners to its inside before giving ground in the Home Straight. A veterinary inspection immediately following the race did not show any significant findings. Sent for sampling post-race.
5 8 DIRIYA (K282) 6 B Avdulla Shifted in at the start and was bumped. Near the 100 Metres was steadied and shifted to the outside of RUNJEET to obtain clear running. DIRIYA then raced tight between RUNJEET and SOLAR RIVER over the concluding stages.

C L Chau reported that his mount lay in under pressure in the Home Straight. He said as a result near the 150 Metres he was obliged to steady and shifted to the outside of VERY GRATEFUL to continue into clear running.
8 5 HOLMES A COURT (J511) 5 B Avdulla B Avdulla reported that his instructions were to go forward and lead. He said HOLMES A COURT was pressured in the lead by LOVING VIBES which resulted in the early stages being run inside of standard time. He said as a consequence HOLMES A COURT was unable to finish the race off in the Home Straight. A veterinary inspection immediately following the race did not show any significant findings.

2 8 DAN ATTACK (H317) 4 H Bentley Shortly after the start raced in restricted room between HOLMES A COURT and BRIGHT DAY which shifted out slightly. Over the concluding stages could not be fully ridden out when racing in restricted room between LOVING VIBES and BRIGHT DAY which shifted in slightly. Sent for sampling post-race.

9 10 LEGEND STAR (K271) 12 Y L Chung (-2) From the outside barrier was shifted across behind runners in the early stages.
4 11 LOVING VIBES (J359) 10 A Atzeni When questioned A Atzeni stated that his instructions, with its light weight, were to go forward and attempt to lead if possible. He said having regard to his instructions he rode his mount along in the early stages in an endeavour to cross runners to his inside. He said when HOLMES A COURT held its position to his inside he then commenced to attempt to steady his mount to race outside of HOLMES A COURT. He said when LOVING VIBES raced keenly and did not respond to his efforts to set a more sustainable pace this resulted in the early stages being run inside of standard time. He added that near the 500 Metres when LOVING VIBES continued to race keenly it established a small margin in advance of HOLMES A COURT and then in the Home Straight LOVING VIBES finished the race off reasonably well considering the manner in which it raced throughout the early stages. Trainer M Newnham confirmed the instructions issued and stated that as the horse does have a respiratory issue it performs best when not overly restrained. Sent for sampling post-race.
7 12 TACTICAL COMMAND (H197) 7 M F Poon Shortly after the start shifted out and away from KANSAS and then became unbalanced when it made contact with GRIT SPIRIT which shifted in.

12 1 NOISY BOY (J536) 12 Z Purton When questioned regarding the disappointing performance Z Purton stated that his instructions were to go forward. He said in the early stages when caught wide he was obliged to make use of his mount to clear runners to his inside. He said after obtaining the lead NOISY BOY was then disadvantaged by being pressured by CAN’T GO WONG which was positioned to his outside. He added that when placed under pressure in the Home Straight NOISY BOY failed to respond to his riding and gave ground over the final 200 Metres. He said NOISY BOY had pleased him in a barrier trial on 1 September 2026 and its most recent track work on 14 September 2026. Trainer C H Yip advised that NOISY BOY had pleased him leading into the race and agreed with Jockey Purton that the horse had been disadvantaged by having to be made use of to go forward in the early stages and then also being pressured in the lead. A veterinary inspection immediately following the race did not show any significant findings. The performance of NOISY BOY was considered disappointing. Before being allowed to race again, NOISY BOY will be required to perform to the satisfaction of the Stewards in a barrier trial and be subjected to an official veterinary examination.

10 3 SERANGOON (H296) 5 B Avdulla Slow to begin. A veterinary inspection immediately following the race found that horse to be lame in its left front leg. The performance of SERANGOON, which finished tailed out, was considered unacceptable. Before being allowed to race again, SERANGOON will be required to perform to the satisfaction of the Stewards in a barrier trial and be subjected to an official veterinary examination.

2 6 ROSEWOOD FLEETFOOT (J524) 1 K Teetan The Stewards deferred the declaration of weighed-in as they were of the opinion that an incident had occurred over the concluding stages which cast doubt on whether ROMANTIC FANTASY should be declared the winner. Subsequently K Teetan, rider of the second placed, ROSEWOOD FLEEFOOT lodged a protest/objection against ROMANTIC FANTASY being declared the winner alleging interference over the final 50 Metres. After considering the evidence the Stewards established that near the 100 Metres ROSEWOOD FLEETFOOT shifted out slightly before being straightened by its rider. They further found that near the 50 Metres ROSEWOOD FLEETFOOT and ROMANTIC FANTASY made slight contact due to ROMANTIC FANTASY shifting in slightly. However, having regard to the manner in which both horses finished the race off, the Stewards could not be comfortably satisfied that had the contact not occurred ROSEWOOD FLEETFOOT would have finished in advance of ROMANTIC FANTASY and therefore the protest/objection was overruled and weighed-in was declared on the numbers semaphored by the Judge. He said after obtaining a position outside the lead GRATIFIDE came under pressure on the Home Turn before giving ground in the Home Straight. A veterinary inspection immediately following the race revealed that the horse was displaying an irregular heart rhythm. Before being allowed to race again, GRATIFIDE will be required to perform satisfactorily in a barrier trial and be subjected to an official veterinary examination.

8 3 ARMOUR WAR EAGLE (J039) 8 A Atzeni ARMOUR WAR EAGLE, which was fractious in the starting gates, made contact with the starting gate on jumping and as a result bounded at the start and lost ground. A Atzeni stated that after losing ground at the start his mount settled back in the field and found it difficult to make up ground in the Home Straight. A veterinary inspection immediately following the race did not show any significant findings.
2 4 LUCKY MCQUEEN (K064) 4 M F Poon Near the 550 Metres was steadied to avoid GOLDEN FRIENDSHIP which shifted in when being steadied. Sent for sampling post-race.
7 5 ELEGANT LIFE (J366) 11 E C W Wong (-3) Near the 200 Metres was steadied and shifted to the outside of GOLDEN FRIENDSHIP to continue into clear running. E C W Wong stated that he was instructed to go forward and obtain cover. He said whilst ELEGANT LIFE jumped reasonably well and when a number of runners to his inside showed superior pace he was obliged to ride the horse in a conservative manner in the early stages to avoid covering additional ground.

Whilst the Stewards were satisfied that Apprentice Wong had made an attempt to straighten her mount at this point she was advised in similar circumstances to react quicker than what she did on this occasion.

10 2 CANDLELIGHT DINNER (J468) 11 C L Chau (-2) Shortly after the start shifted in despite the efforts of its rider and became unbalanced when it made contact with ETERNAL FORTUNE. Near the 700 Metres improved to the inside of ETERNAL FORTUNE and then raced tight to the inside of ETERNAL FORTUNE for some distance after the 600 Metres. As a result CANDLELIGHT DINNER made contact with RED ELEGANCE. C L Chau was advised to exercise more care and to ensure there is comfortable racing room to improve into. C L Chau stated that from a wide barrier he was instructed to hold a position with cover. He said CANDLELIGHT DINNER hung in throughout the event, particularly under pressure in the Home Straight. Noted to have lost its right front plate after the race. A veterinary inspection immediately following the race did not show any significant findings.

1 4 DANCING CLASSICS (J060) 3 E C W Wong (-3) E C W Wong was spoken to in respect to failing to correct his mount as it shifted in after the winning post which resulted in crowding to HORSEPOWER, BUNTA BABY and PARENTS’ LOVE. Jockey Wong was advised that he must stop riding his mounts when they shift ground whilst not clear. Sent for sampling post-race.
5 5 BUNTA BABY (J465) 7 Z Purton Crowded shortly after the start. Over the concluding stages PARENTS’ LOVE and BUNTA BABY raced tight to the inside of HORSEPOWER (A Atzeni) which shifted in before being corrected by its rider. A Atzeni was advised in similar circumstances he would be expected to straighten his mounts sooner than what he did on this occasion.
9 6 ETERNAL FORTUNE (K010) 10 R Kingscote Shortly after the start shifted in and away from CANDLELIGHT DINNER and became badly unbalanced when it made heavy contact with CASA OF HONOR.
7 7 CASA OF HONOR (K310) 9 M F Poon Shifted in shortly after the start, made contact with DRAGON FOUR SEAS and became unbalanced. A short distance later CASA OF HONOR was crowded by ETERNAL FORTUNE which shifted in and away from CANDLELIGHT DINNER. M F Poon reported that from a wide barrier he had to make too much use of the horse in the early stages to go forward. He said as a result his mount did not finish the race off in the Home Straight. 11 8 MAX QUE (J514) 5 A Badel A Badel stated that his mount obtained a favourable position during the event but failed to run on in the Home Straight. Trainer M Newham stated that he was pleased with the horse’s work leading into the race and MAX QUE had previously performed well when backing up quickly. He added he could offer no explanation for the horse’s performance. A veterinary inspection immediately following the race did not show any significant findings. The performance of MAX QUE was considered disappointing as compared to its previous race starts. Before being allowed to race again, MAX QUE will be required to perform to the satisfaction of the Stewards in a barrier trial and be subjected to an official veterinary examination.
4 9 CALIFORNIATOTALITY (H418) 3 L Ferraris Near the 1400 Metres, when racing keenly, got its head up when being steadied to avoid HELENE FEELING (E C W Wong) which shifted in when not fully clear. E C W Wong was advised to exercise more care.
10 10 AWESOME FLUKE (J050) 10 B Avdulla Despite being ridden along in the early stages failed to show sufficient pace to hold a more forward position. Over the concluding stages could not be fully ridden out when positioned close to PACKING ANGEL.
8 11 ARMOR GOLDEN EAGLE (K566) 11 A Atzeni A Atzeni stated that his mount travelled satisfactorily outside the lead but failed to respond to his riding in the Home Straight. Trainer M Newnham stated that the horse was a little stirred up prior to the event and, in his opinion, would derive a fitness benefit from tonight’s performance. A veterinary inspection immediately following the race did not show any significant findings.

H T Mo (PARROT BLESSING) was reprimanded in relation to using his whip forward of the saddle in a forehand manner on one occasion passing the 100 Metres.
