He said the horse may be suited by being stepped up in distance. A veterinary inspection immediately following the race did not show any significant findings.
10 2 NOBLE DELUXE (K052) 2 K Teetan K Teetan stated that his mount finished the race off only fairly in the Home Straight and may not have appreciated the "Good to Firm” track conditions. A veterinary inspection immediately following the race found that horse to be a "roarer” which had previously been reported.

2 11 BINGO BABE (K115) 11 M F Poon When questioned regarding his riding out of BINGO BABE to the finish M F Poon stated that under pressure in the Home Straight his mount was inclined to lay in. He said passing the 50 Metres he commenced to shorten his reins to maintain control of the horse but as he did so he dropped his left rein which resulted in BINGO BABE shifting in and he having to stop riding in an attempt to regather his reins. He added that as this took some time to do so he was not able to fully ride BINGO BABE out to the finish of the race. M F Poon was advised he should ensure, wherever possible, that he maintains control of his reins. Sent for sampling post-race.

9 6 ALL ARE MINE (H293) 2 A Badel A Badel reported that his mount raced keenly in the lead and refused to settle. He said the horse, in his opinion, would be better suited by being dropped back in distance for its next race start. A veterinary inspection immediately following the race did not show any significant findings. The performance of ALL ARE MINE was considered disappointing as compared to its previous race starts. Before being allowed to race again, ALL ARE MINE will be required to perform to the satisfaction of the Stewards in a barrier trial and be subjected to an official veterinary examination.

He added that in the circumstances he was not too disappointed with the horse’s performance. A veterinary inspection immediately following the race did not show any significant findings.
12 4 COUNTRY PRIDE (L325) 10 K Teetan Bumped on jumping. Making the first turn near the 1000 Metres commenced to race keenly. Near the 900 Metres shifted out when positioned close to the heels of GRACEFUL HEART. Approaching the 150 Metres K Teetan dropped his whip. K Teetan stated that his mount was disadvantaged by racing wide and without cover for the majority of the event. A veterinary inspection immediately following the race revealed that the horse was displaying an irregular heart rhythm. Before being allowed to race again, COUNTRY PRIDE will be required to perform satisfactorily in a barrier trial and be subjected to an official veterinary examination.

J Moreira stated that his intention was to hold a more forward position but despite riding his mount along it did not show sufficient pace to do so. 4 8 GRACEFUL HEART (L207) 9 L Hewitson Lay in under pressure in the Home Straight and over the concluding stages could not be fully ridden out when positioned close to LOVING VIBES. L Hewitson stated that he was given the option of going forward if his mount commenced well. He said when GRACEFUL HEART jumped well he elected to go forward and race outside the lead.

7 7 CALIFORNIA BAY (K364) 7 K Teetan Shortly after the start was checked when crowded between LUCKY MCQUEEN which shifted out after making contact with TACTICAL COMMAND and HAPPY SHOOTER which was taken in by LEAN MASTER (Apprentice P N Wong) which shifted in before being corrected by its rider. Apprentice Wong was advised in similar circumstances she would be expected to straighten her mounts sooner than what she did on this occasion. When questioned K Teetan stated that after receiving crowding at the start his mount settled further back than intended. He said near the 500 Metres after being contacted by TACTICAL COMMAND, CALIFORNIA BAY hung in and as a result he was required to correct his mount to prevent it from crowding TACTICAL COMMAND. He added that as a result CALIFORNIA BAY became unbalanced and lost ground. A veterinary inspection immediately following the race did not show any significant findings.

Acting on veterinary advice that GAMEPLAYER ELITE was not suitable to race, the horse was withdrawn by order of the Stewards. Before being allowed to race again, GAMEPLAYER ELITE will be required to perform satisfactorily in a barrier trial and be subjected to an official veterinary examination.

J Moreira reported that his mount was pressured in the lead by CASA OF HONOR and as a result was left without a finishing effort in the Home Straight. 8 2 RED ELEGANCE (H241) 2 E Brown Bumped shortly after the start. After the 300 Metres was hampered when taken in by HONEST WITNESS which lay in when giving ground. Between the 200 Metres and the 150 Metres was held up for clear running.
6 3 MATTERS MOST (K154) 9 E C W Wong (-3) Near the 150 Metres lay in and made contact with SON PAK FU, resulting in its rider E C W Wong having to correct his mount. Jockey Wong stated that the instructions were to obtain a position behind the early leaders as connections were of the view there was fast pace engaged in the event to the inside of MATTERS MOST.
