Racing Incident Report
EASY GAME was withdrawn on 26.10.04 on veterinary grounds (lame left hind) and was replaced by Standby Declared Starter GLOBE RIVER (B Prebble). Before being allowed to race again, EASY GAME will be subjected to an official veterinary examination. When the gates opened, SUPER LUCK bounded in the air and lost ground. On jumping, GLOBE RIVER and SAND DANCE bumped. As a result, GLOBE RIVER lost ground. SPECTACULAR TIMES began awkwardly and got its head up. YELLOW DIAMOND began awkwardly and lost ground. In the early stages, AURELIAN, with the intention to be ridden back and with cover, was steadied and shifted across behind runners to a position on the rail but near the rear. Near the 1000 Metres, SUPER LUCK was steadied away from the heels of SPECTACULAR TIMES which was shifting in. Near the 800 Metres, SIGHT CHAMPION became unbalanced when close to the heels of HORACE'S HORSE. Near the 700 Metres, GLOBE RIVER was momentarily steadied to avoid the heels of WING FOOT which shifted in. AURELIAN, which was following, was steadied away from the heels of GLOBE RIVER. Making the turn after the 600 Metres, SIGHT CHAMPION was awkwardly placed inside the heels of SAND DANCE. Near the 250 Metres, SIGHT CHAMPION was held up for a short distance and unable to obtain clear running behind HORACE'S HORSE and SAND DANCE. Over the concluding stages, GLOBE RIVER, which was closing the race off, was steadied when close to the heels of HORACE'S HORSE. Because of this, GLOBE RIVER was not ridden out to the end of the race as it normally would be. Just prior to the winning post, SIGHT CHAMPION was close to the heels of SAND DANCE and because of this was not ridden out to the end of the race. AURELIAN was sent for an official veterinary inspection. A veterinary inspection of AURELIAN after the race did not show any significant findings. SIGHT CHAMPION, DREAMS COME TRUE and HORACE'S HORSE were sent for sampling.
