Racing Incident Report

At declaration time, T Piccone was declared as the rider of both FARM BUMPER and JOYFUL WIN. It was established that T Piccone had a firm commitment to ride FARM BUMPER. As such, the Stewards permitted A Hamelin to be substituted as the rider of JOYFUL WIN. For this declaration error, Trainer P F Yiu was fined $2,000.
COMFORT LIFE shifted out at the start, resulting in FORTE being taken out onto UNITED WE STAND which became unbalanced, shifted out and inconvenienced ALL THE WAY.
AMAZING KNIGHT began only fairly and then was bumped by INFINITE POWER which shifted in.
CHAMPION PRIDE was shifted across behind runners in the early stages to obtain cover.
Approaching the 800 Metres, LUCKY BOY was brushed by INFINITE POWER which shifted out after being awkwardly placed outside the heels of JOYFUL WIN.
Near the 275 Metres, JOYFUL WIN was crowded for room between ALL THE WAY and LITTLE PLAYER (B Shinn) which shifted to the inside of SPARKLING DOLPHIN to obtain clear running. In this incident, ALL THE WAY received contact on the hindquarters from JOYFUL WIN and lay out. B Shinn was advised to exercise more care when shifting ground in similar circumstances.
Approaching the 100 Metres, A Badel (ALL THE WAY) dropped his whip. As this was the third occasion in recent times that Jockey Badel had been reported to have dropped his whip, he was placed on notice that should he offend again in the near future, further action may be taken.
Passing the 100 Metres, UNITED WE STAND was awkwardly placed outside the heels of FORTE.
FORTE and UNITED WE STAND were sent for sampling.
