Racing Incident Report
MEGA HEART began only fairly.
BIRDSVILLE shifted out at the start and bumped SKYEY SUPREME, resulting in SKYEY SUPREME becoming unbalanced and shifting in, causing BIRDSVILLE to be taken in onto MEGA HEART which was inconvenienced.
From the outside barriers, AMAZING CHOCOLATE and ELON were shifted across behind runners in the early stages.
Making the turn near the 700 Metres, SKYEY SUPREME lay in towards the running rail and became unbalanced.
Also making the turn near the 700 Metres, MEGA HEART was brushed by JAZZ STEED which was racing tight inside ELON.
After the 700 Metres, GUNNISON was left racing wide and without cover.
Approaching the 500 Metres, MAGIC SUPREME and FLYING GENIUS bumped as MAGIC SUPREME commenced to shift to the outside of FLYING BONUS. When initially unable to improve to the outside of FLYING BONUS, MAGIC SUPREME was awkwardly placed close to the heels of that horse.
At the entrance to the Straight, MAGIC SUPREME shifted out and bumped FLYING GENIUS.
After the race, C L Chau was not able to offer any explanation for the disappointing performance of QUADRUPLE DOUBLE. He said the horse travelled well in the early and middle stages, but came under heavy pressure prior to and rounding the Home Turn and then, despite being ridden along in the Straight, did not close off the race. A veterinary inspection of QUADRUPLE DOUBLE immediately following the race did not show any significant findings.

GUNNISON and MAGIC SUPREME were sent for sampling.
