Racing Incident Report

On arrival at the track, it was noted that ABOVE ALL had sustained an abrasion over the nose. A veterinary examination of ABOVE ALL found that horse to be suitable to race.
E HONEY shifted out at the start and bumped TEAM GOODLUCK which in turn shifted out and bumped RAGING BLAZE, resulting in that horse being taken out across the running of MISSION SMART which was hampered and lost ground.
ORIENTAL AMIGO and RED BRICK GLORY bumped at the start. RED BRICK GLORY was then steadied away from the heels of VIVA MAMA which shifted in. After this, RED BRICK GLORY was steadied to obtain cover from a wide barrier.
After travelling a short distance, ABOVE ALL shifted out and hampered ORIENTAL AMIGO. ORIENTAL AMIGO was then shifted across behind runners to obtain a position closer to the rail from a wide barrier.
Near the 1150 Metres, RAGING BLAZE was awkwardly placed outside the heels of TEAM GOODLUCK when being steadied to obtain cover behind that horse.
Approaching and passing the 1100 Metres, TEAM GOODLUCK travelled keenly when being steadied to obtain cover.
In the middle stages, VIVA MAMA travelled keenly in the lead.
Rounding the Home Turn, SUNNY AND GOLD (K Teetan) shifted out and bumped the hindquarters of GOODMANSHIP which became unbalanced. GOODMANSHIP then lay in despite the efforts of its rider passing the 300 Metres and bumped SUNNY AND GOLD, resulting in GOODMANSHIP again becoming unbalanced and SUNNY AND GOLD being taken in towards the heels of CIGAR BUDDIES. K Teetan was advised to make every endeavour to prevent his mounts from shifting ground and making contact with other runners. SUNNY AND GOLD was then shifted to the outside of GOODMANSHIP passing the 200 Metres to obtain clear running.
Near the 150 Metres, MISSION SMART was shifted out away from the heels of CIGAR BUDDIES which was awkwardly placed inside the heels of GOODMANSHIP.
Near the 125 Metres, RAGING BLAZE shifted out away from the heels of SUNNY AND GOLD and was then awkwardly placed inside E HONEY.
MISSION SMART had some difficulty obtaining clear running over the concluding stages. ORIENTAL AMIGO, which was following MISSION SMART, was awkwardly placed close to the heels of that horse in consequence. This resulted in both MISSION SMART and ORIENTAL AMIGO not being ridden out all the way to the end of the race.
After the race, J Moreira (TEAM GOODLUCK) stated that his mount travelled only fairly in the early stages and then came under pressure after the 700 Metres. He said despite being vigorously ridden along after the 500 Metres, TEAM GOODLUCK did not respond to his riding and then was disappointing in the manner in which it did not close the race off. A veterinary inspection of TEAM GOODLUCK immediately following the race did not show any significant findings.
A veterinary inspection of MISSION SMART immediately following the race did not show any significant findings.
SUNNY AND GOLD, GOODMANSHIP and E HONEY were sent for sampling.
