Racing Incident Report

OVER THE MOON began only fairly.
KARUIZAWA shifted in at the start and inconvenienced SEATOSKY.
DREAM CATCHER and EASY SNIP bumped on two occasions on jumping, resulting in both horses becoming unbalanced.
After the 1100 Metres, STAND UP commenced to travel keenly when being steadied in an attempt to obtain cover. STAND UP was then left racing wide and without cover near the 850 Metres at which time the horse became unbalanced when bumped by BEAUTY TYCOON which shifted out.
Passing the 1000 Metres, SPLENDID STAR was momentarily awkwardly placed behind BEAUTY TYCOON.
Passing the 900 Metres, CALIFORNIA VANES was steadied away from the heels of COMPASSION SUPER which got its head on the side and shifted out abruptly.
STAND UP lost its left hind plate at the 400 Metres.
Passing the 400 Metres, EASY SNIP was steadied away from the heels of STAND UP after racing close to the heels of that horse.
Approaching the 100 Metres, HAPPY HERO momentarily had difficulty obtaining clear running when being directed to the outside of REGENT GLORY to continue improving.
Throughout the race, REGENT GLORY travelled wide and without cover.
J Moreira stated that, from barrier 13, he was asked to ride BEAUTY TYCOON positively and obtain a position in the first four. He said after BEAUTY TYCOON began satisfactorily, he rode his mount along in the early stages to obtain a forward position, however, despite being ridden along BEAUTY TYCOON did not show as much early speed as he anticipated and REGENT GLORY, which was drawn immediately inside BEAUTY TYCOON, showed more speed than his mount. He said he therefore elected to shift his mount across behind runners with a view to obtaining a position behind KING ECCELLENTE in about midfield. He said as he was shifting BEAUTY TYCOON across, his mount was very awkwardly placed outside the heels of EASY SNIP near the 1050 Metres as that horse was being steadied to a position behind DREAM CATCHER. He said as a result of BEAUTY TYCOON having to be steadied, this allowed SEATOSKY to improve its position to be racing behind KING ECCELLENTE and which resulted in BEAUTY TYCOON having to race in a three wide position. He added that passing the 1000 Metres BEAUTY TYCOON got its head up when being checked away from the heels of EASY SNIP which at this time was being steadied to obtain cover behind REGENT GLORY. He said BEAUTY TYCOON travelled keenly and got its head up on a number of occasions when racing close to the heels of EASY SNIP approaching and passing the 800 Metres. He said near the 700 Metres BEAUTY TYCOON commenced to travel more comfortably and as the race had been run at a moderate tempo in the early and middle stages, he elected to shift to the outside of EASY SNIP approaching the 500 Metres as he was concerned that if he remained racing behind that horse rounding the Home Turn, this would allow horses, which had been racing up on the pace, the opportunity to obtain more of an advantage over BEAUTY TYCOON. He said after making the Home Turn wide, BEAUTY TYCOON quickened well and then finished the race off strongly in the Straight.
CALIFORNIA VANES and BEAUTY TYCOON were sent for sampling.
