5 6 DEVIL AND GOLD (G443) Raced wide and without cover in the early stages and was allowed to stride forward near the 900 Metres.

7 5 SUPER CONTENTED (H251) From the outside barrier was shifted across behind runners in the early stages. For some distance approaching the 400 Metres was held up for clear running. Lay in in the Home Straight.
8 10 CHIRON (E151) From a wide barrier was shifted across behind runners in the early stages. Briefly held up on the Home Turn behind FIERY FLYING.
9 4 FIERY FLYING (G090) Jumped only fairly and then was crowded shortly after the start. Raced keenly in the early and middle stages. After the race, J McDonald advised that his mount, which was having its first race start on the All Weather surface, did not appreciate racing on the All Weather surface. Assistant Trainer C K Tong agreed with the assessment of Jockey McDonald. A veterinary inspection immediately following the race which included an endoscopic examination showed a substantial amount of mucus in the horse’s trachea. The performance was considered to be disappointing as compared to its pervious race starts. Before being allowed to race again, FIERY FLYING will be required to perform to the satisfaction of the Stewards in a barrier trial and be subjected to an official veterinary examination.
10 14 JUST GREAT TWO (G174) No report.
11 3 DIAMOND FOREVER (H194) A veterinary inspection immediately following the race which included an endoscopic examination showed a substantial amount of blood in the horse’s trachea. Before being allowed to race again, DIAMOND FOREVER will be subjected to an official veterinary examination.
12 2 ARTHUR'S KINGDOM (E194) No report.
13 8 GENERAL WINNER (E376) Raced wide and without cover for the majority of the event. A veterinary inspection immediately following the race did not show any significant findings.
14 9 SPICY SKEWER (G202) From a wide barrier was shifted across behind runners in the early stages. The performance of SPICY SKEWER, which finished tailed out on the second consecutive occasion, was considered unacceptable. Before being allowed to race again, SPICY SKEWER will be required to perform to the satisfaction of the Stewards in a series of consecutive barrier trials and be subjected to an official veterinary examination.
