9 10 VAMOS (G004) After the race, Z Purton reported that his mount travelled satisfactorily through the early and middle stages but failed to respond to his riding in the Home Straight and raced in a disappointing manner. Trainer D J Hall stated that VAMOS had pleased him since returning to Sha Tin from his Conghua stable on 9 December 2023 and specifically had worked well on 11 December 2023. Mr Hall could offer no explanation for the horse’s disappointing performance. A veterinary inspection immediately following the race did not show any significant findings. The performance of VAMOS was considered to be disappointing as compared to its previous starts. Before being allowed to race again, VAMOS will be required to perform to the satisfaction of the Stewards in a barrier trial and be subjected to an official veterinary examination. Sent for sampling post-race. <14/12/2023 Additional Veterinary Reports> VAMOS, which performed disappointingly, was examined by the Veterinary Officer who said at that time there were no significant findings. VAMOS was again examined by the Veterinary Officer at the stables of Trainer D J Hall this morning. He said at this time he noted the horse to be lame in its left front leg. As previously advised, VAMOS will be required to perform to the satisfaction of the Stewards in a barrier trial and be subjected to an official veterinary examination before being allowed to race again.
10 7 DASHING GLORY (G397) Leaving the 900 Metres shifted in and was steadied away from PRESTIGE MOOCHI.
