When questioned, rider stated that the intention was to hold an on-pace position, however, when caught wide in the early stages he elected to continue to go forward to cross runners to his inside to avoid racing wide. He added as a consequence the horse settled in a more forward position than what had been intended - Race 757.

5 E144  ACA POWER  15/06/2024   757  ACA POWER (E144) jumped only fairly and then shortly after the start blundered when crowded - Race 757.
6 J093  SHANGHAI STYLE  21/02/2024   439  SHANGHAI STYLE (J093) jumped only fairly. From the 500M lay out and made the Home Turn wide. Raced wide and without cover for the majority of the event. After the race was noted to have lost its right hind plate. Post-race vet inspection did not show any significant findings. The next day was noted to be lame in its right front leg. Has since passed an official vet exam - Race 439.
7 E360  FLYING DRAGON  29/05/2024   706  FLYING DRAGON (E360) was bumped at the start. Then a short distance later was bumped on the hindquarters and became unbalanced. Near the 1100M was bumped and became unbalanced. Near the 600M lay out when racing tight. Near the 200M was checked - Race 706.
8 H384  HINOKAMI KAGURA  15/06/2024   757  HINOKAMI KAGURA (H384) bumped shortly after the start. Crowded near the 750M - Race 757.
9 J159  SKY SONG  29/05/2024   706  SKY SONG (J159) jumped only fairly and then was steadied when crowded - Race 706.
10 H156  COSMO NAVIGATOR  26/06/2024   774  COSMO NAVIGATOR (H156) on arrival at the Start, the tongue tie applied was refitted. Shifted in shortly after the start and was bumped. When questioned regarding his riding, rider stated that the instructions were to hold a forward position and if possible to race outside the expected leader. He said in the early stages when two runners showed good pace to his inside, his mount was obliged to race very wide and without cover on the first turn. He added that during that section of the race his mount lay in which required him to take corrective action to prevent it from crowding runners to his inside and as a consequence he was unable to ride his mount forward with his usual vigour as he was concerned that his mount may shift in. He further stated that when a runner held its position to his inside, he then elected to restrain his mount and obtain cover near the 800M when he was of the opinion that his mount was not showing sufficient pace to cross runners to his inside. After considering his explanation, the Stewards found the tactics adopted by rider were reasonable in the circumstances, however, he was advised, whenever possible, he should endeavour to ride his mounts in a manner to comply with the instructions issued. Post-race vet inspection did not show any significant findings - Race 774.
11 J063  CRAZY TREASURE  15/06/2024   757  CRAZY TREASURE (J063) near the 300M was steadied when crowded. After the race, rider stated that from a wide barrier he was instructed to ride his mount conservatively in the early stages. Trainer confirmed the instructions issued and stated that it was not the intention at its most recent start on 29 May 2024 to lead the event - Race 757.
