Approaching the 450M was held up for clear running for a short distance behind a runner. Near the 50M bumped with a runner - Race 148.

2 J099  GIMME FIVE  27/10/2024   133  GIMME FIVE (J099) when questioned regarding the disappointing performance of the horse, rider stated that with the pace of the event being run slightly inside of standard time in the early stages, his mount was under pressure to hold its on-pace position. He said when a runner shifted away from the rail near the 500M, his mount commenced to improve into the event and then was awkwardly placed close to that runner, resulting in him having to steady his mount. He said after that his mount did not respond to his riding and raced in a disappointing manner. Post-race vet inspection did not show any significant findings. Performance as compared to its previous race starts was considered disappointing. Has since performed to the satisfaction of the Stewards in a barrier trial and passed an official vet exam - Race 133.
