He added that his mount travelled satisfactorily during the event and as he was positioned back in the field he elected to take an inside run making the Home Turn and in the early part of the Home Straight. He added after being briefly held up near the 200M his mount finished the race off well. He said, in his opinion, his mount may be better suited with a gear change for its next race start - Race 531.

When questioned, rider stated that the instructions from an awkward barrier were to endeavour to find cover. He said his mount jumped awkwardly and became unbalanced and as a result his mount was positioned midfield in the early stages. He said when a runner held its position to his inside he elected to endeavour to follow that runner but when caught wide to the outside of another runner he was obliged to come further back to comply with the instructions to find cover. He added when placed under pressure in the Home Straight his mount finished the race off well. Trainer confirmed the instructions issued and emphasised that he required rider to obtain cover to avoid racing wide - Race 532.
